Supposed to be clearing up and turning sunny here but is still cool and grey. SM raid day today - 3 of them! One for a coffee pot on special offer so OH can have his precious espressos and they also do OH's beer and Possum's too. Next was LIDL for wine. I hate that shop but their wine is good. Finally the real one which, mercifully, was remarkably free of holidaymakers so no delays getting round.
OH has just arrived home from his golf expedition so I can go out and plant my brassicas with his help to put up the butterfly netting which has the added advantage of keeping the chooks off them.
Hope you can catch up on some sleep @Hostafan1 and that OH settles better this time.
Hope everyone's OK and enjoying their day.

Evening all. Did a bit in the garden today - two batteries worth of mowing and spud harvesting. I though I only had Golden Wonder to dig up but there were a few big Charlottes still in there too. Haven't had Golden Wonder in many years, it used to be our family staple spud.
Took the spent shaws to the compost bin and found a grass snake in there snuggled up together with the slow worms. Wasn't sure whether to have an ooh or an eek moment so did both.
We will be having turkey curry with homegrown veg tonight, amazing what you find in the freezer when you are trying to make room to freeze yet more runner beans.
OH would have loved a Bach concert in the church @didyw, but today we went to Pensthorpe Natural Park. I've posted photos https://forum.gardenersworld.com/discussion/comment/2388650#Comment_2388650 Soon after we arrived it started raining, not forecast, so we headed for the café, good that we went earlier enough to find a decent table inside because, soon after, everyone else did the same thing. We had thought it would be a washout and we'd leave but the rain stopped and we had a lovely time. It's a beautiful place, several lakes and ponds, loads of birds, ducks, flamingos, cranes etc and large gardens designed by Piet Oudolf.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Busy day at work, home and made 2 quiche, asparagus, courgette, sprouting brocoli and Stilton then the other was same veg but with bacon. In the oven now, coleslaw made, beer opened, have a good evening all 😁
Evening. I stayed at hospital as long as I could stand it. there only so much ( dementia induced ) foul mouthed insults one can take without it starting to hurt.
@Hostafan1, just try to remember, he doesn't mean it, he has no idea what he is saying [ unless of course the foul mouthed insults were from you, in which case stop it ]
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team

That last line actually made me laugh out loud. Thanks Poppet. XX
