    Huge hugs @Hostafan1 xx

    It’s my experience that the
opposite side of the coin appears at some stage in dementia.. My strict Methodist Ma would have been appalled by the sort of things she seemed to he constantly thinking and talking about towards the end … as has been said, it’s not them … it’s the bloody dementia.

Just a thought … do the foul- mouthed sex- obsessed folk suddenly become paragons of virtue when dementia strikes?

Ooh - a grass snake and slowworms @Steephill!  How lovely.  And jealous of your Charlotte potatoes - my favourites.
Hope you are getting some rest now @Hostafan1.  We were lucky with my ma-in-law; she was so sweet tempered before she got dementia and remained sweet afterwards.  But I'm guessing it must be very frightening at times to just not know where you are or what is going on and who these people are... Not surprising if some lash out.  I would be terrible I'm sure, if the language that comes out of me in the car is anything to go by.

A little visitor popped out from the pile of rocks this morning. It sat there blinking in the sun, then moved out a bit for breakfast. 😁

    He’ll keep the grass short @Pat E  😉
Hope everyone’s had a restful night.
We have an overcast sky this morning … OH has popped to Wrose on his bike for a few odds and ends … I’m going to the farm shop later …

No wind!!  So far!  Nice morning sunny but cool. (for here)!

Making a start on some tomato puree making today.  I make it into concentrate and then dry it in roasting or shallow dishes.  Takes about 3 days to dry.  No rain in sight.

    Have a nice enjoyable day.

Such  tragedy unfolding in Afghanistan ... for the past couple of days my son has been trying to help an Afghan neighbour D who's family is trapped in Kabul ... his father was in the Afghan army working alongside our forces ...he was in a special security unit and was imprisoned (and worse) by the Taliban 20 years or so ago and released by the Coalition ... he went straight back into the army and rose to the rank of General... but because he wasn't directly employed by the Coalition he could not get a visa to get out, and his mother (a doctor) and siblings (one of his sisters is a dentist) were also trapped ... they're in hiding in a friend's cellar in Kabul but the Taliban keep knocking on the door looking for them.  My son has been contacting everyone he can think of and yesterday the Ipswich MP said he was trying to help ... then son's friends in Somerset emailed their MP Jacob R-M ... he said that ordinarily he would not be able to help because D is not one of his constituents, but as the Ipswich MP is a newbie JRM said he was going to help him ... within a few hours all the details of D's family (ID numbers etc) were with the Consulate in Kabul and they're trying to contact them and negotiate safe passage for them to the airport.  Keep your fingers very crossed folks 🤞

D was interviewed twice on Radio Suffolk yesterday ... he kept saying that if only his family can get somewhere safe he will work all the hours there are to raise the money to get them to the UK.  He already has 3 jobs.

Sad indeed, Dove.  I hope people like him can be saved. I don’t really understand why the Taliban wants to stop people leaving, you’d think they’d be glad to see the back of them if they don’t fit the new ideas. 😳

I really hate hearing more news about it, but I suppose we do need to know. It just upsets me that people can’t live in peace with each other.
