Hope @Hostafan1 ‘s OH had a more comfortable night, and that today’s visits are calmer.

Changing brake pads is very impressive @AuntyRach …..wouldn’t know where to start 🤣🤣.  Can change a tyre (but would only do it if there was no other alternative at hand) and thats about it.

More revision for me this morning ..vegetable growing 🥦🥒🥬🥕🧅🥔

Littlest chicklet has been working hard applying for jobs.  Lots of long application forms, zoom interviews and face to face ones too.  She’s now got two offers - both quite different- so this weekend is decision time.  Both in Central London, so a real adventure about to begin for her.

Have a good journey back to France @Busy-Lizzie.  Will we see you back here again soon? Is the next step for OH’s hip op in September?

Great gloves @Pat E ……I love fingerless gloves.  All the warmth but you can still do fiddly things 🖐🏻

Thanks Dove and Chicky. Dove, the few rows of stitches are so that you can work out which is which. It’s my little invention in addition to the pattern. It’s meant to be on the back of the hand.🙄

Saturday Live here too @Allotment Boy ... gotta love Rev. Richard.  and how fascinating is Celia Imrie  :D  she was my son's 'schoolboy crush' ... and then when he was a very young adult he was in a tube carriage with her ... she was sitting, he was standing by her and suddenly he realised he was staring down at her cleavage and she was looking at him ... he said he went bright red, apologised and looked away ... apparently she simply roared with laughter ... classy woman  B)

Morning all, we're in sunny (not) Bournemouth - in fact it's pouring with rain so this morning's trip to Compton Acres Garden is off unfortunately. Haven't been there for years and was looking forward to seeing it again. OH did manage a swim in the sea yesterday so he was pleased.
He's just gone out for the papers so we'll have a leisurely morning and will have to eat up the fruit scones, jam and clotted cream my DIL very kindly left for us, well, it would be rude not to, wouldn't it?
Had an extremely good meal at a very popular Italian restaurant last night, absolutely packed, 4 birthday parties going on, (the waiters all gathered round sang Happy Birthday), good job the folding doors were all open! quite a few Italians, always a good sign we think, including two very voluptuous Italian ladies very smartly dressed. OH had a job to concentrate on his dinner.
Bon voyage to @Busy-Lizzie and best wishes for a calmer time for @Hostafan1 and his OH.
Well done to Dove's son, AuntyRach and DD.
Sorry if I've inadvertently missed anyone out, I've skimmed back quickly.
    Have a good day.

    Hi all

Update re the NDN's from hell. The cottage has been sold, new neighbours due to move in soon. The garage, converted into a studio [ never used ] has also been sold. The main house in which NDN's live has not been sold yet, but they appear to be moving out as I write this.
I think this probably counts as a win.
