We went to Brancaster Beach, but we had been to Burnham Market first and had lunch there so it wasn't the popular time of arrival. No problem with traffic and we found a place in the car park quite near the entrance, so not too far from the beach. It's a big car park and there were a lot of cars in it. The beach is huge.
I slept 9 hours last night, 1 loo break. Usually it's 7 hours and sometimes loo x 2.
Christening today, busy morning, salad preparing for lunch for 40 tomorrow.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Good morning Forkers.Ā Bright and sunny again here but not going to be quite as hot as yesterday but mid 20s are fine for gardening.Ā Ā Big new bed to weed today plus a huge pot of tigridia to plant out and see how they cope outside.Ā They've done 2 winters in the pot and have multiplied so need to take their chances in the real world.
Hope all goes well for the christening @Busy-Lizzie and the salad prep too.
Lovely lot of rain for you @Pat E .Ā Ā I just have all our masks to wash today.Ā Ā
Got a recipe for fig chutney @tui34?Ā I find fig jam far too sweet.Ā Ā We have a huge fig tree which the starlings strip before the fruits are ripe enough for us but we have a smaller one now in the potager and are hoping they haven't spotted it.Ā

I love piccalilli with a good Comté cheese.  I am making tomato relish - I give jars away as Christmas presents as well as fig chutney.  The French like the fig chutney atop a lightly grilled round of bread and barely melted goat's cheese.  I am watching the starlings tucked away on the top of fig tree amongst the leaves enjoying the fruit.  Cheekies but there is plenty for everyone!
Good morning all.
