    Hello all.

We are back from Yorkshire. Awful drive, roadworks, accident, part of southbound A1 closed, heavy rain. We enjoyed seeing our friends and BIL and SIL and a bit of the beautiful countryside. Probably ate too much!

Haven't read back yet - 114 posts, will take a while!

@Chivetalking so sorry to hear your mum was waiting so long for the ambulance to arrive. It must have been so distressing for you both.  Glad you were able to visit your mum today. Try and get some sleep tonight. Will be thinking of you. Very best wishes and sending a big hug too x

@Chivetalking I'm so sorry about your Mum, what an awful experience for her in such pain and in the rain and so stressful for you too.

Ah well - I did do a post about my day earlier but forgot to press post and it now all seems irrelevant and inappropriate after reading what Chive & her mum have had to endure. I do hope she can be made comfortable and the horrors of yesterday fade quickly for you both. Sending you both kind thoughts.

I'm earlier to bed tonight as I've been entertaining a 4 year old and his sister (16 months old) in the motorhome this evening. So many fascinating things for them to see like wardrobes under the bed with lights in, how the toilet works etc etc. Not to mention high up beds, hide and seek under the duvets and taking photos / playing games on iPads. 4 year old was full of questions and into everything while I had to concentrate on not letting his toddling sister fall out of the window or off the bed - absolutely exhausting! Will sleep well tonight.

BL - glad you made it home safely - Yorks to Norfolk can be a nightmare of a journey.

Good morning Ruby and all later arrivals. I hope that Chive managed to get some sleep last night after the dreadful fright of yesterday and that her Mum is more comfortable today.

Good to see you Busy and sorry that you had such a difficult journey home. It will have been so nice getting to meet up with rellies and friends again.
T'Bird, you sound to have had lots of fun - if a tiring time with the youngsters. It would be lovely if we could find all their energy and inquisitiveness again.
Hazel - you got it in one! I couldn't eat another thing yesterday.
