Morning SGL, Debs, Ruby, Chive and T'Bird.
Chive I was so shocked to read your post about your Mum. How absolutely awful for her. Were you there when it happened? I hope she wasn't lying on her drive for long. Fingers crossed that they get her nice and comfortable once they have got the investigations complete. Thinking about you x
Hodey ho T'Bird. You definitely need ear protectors! As an early riser I wouldn't have minded the generators but lads shouting to one another across the paddock would have been a noise too far. Never mind, I bet you'll love it once it gets underway! Fingers crossed you don't get my rain - or SGL's by the sound of it. Its the quiz team going out for lunch today so we have allowed the men to come along too - as long as they behave themselves. Next month we will be able to have more than today's six people. Have you got rain too Ruby?

It’s hammering down LB . No gardening today .Iwill be crocheting .I think Chive asked if I was crocheting ,a few pages ago . If so ,yes Chive I am enjoying the crocheting . No increasing or decreasing yet .Sorry I forgot to reply .
  • Thank you Lily and Topbird.  After being on the phone for 59 minutes I updated my email.  I was recently transferred to the parent company of a subsidiary.  They say they have a special team dealing with the transfer.  You don’t get to speak to anyone. Their estimate for replies to emails is 5 days so it must be somewhat longer than that.  I’ve already broken the rules and sent two emails.  It was much better with the subsidiary company.  Time for a cup of tea.
  • Chive I’m so sorry to hear news of your mum breaking her leg.  Something you can well do without.  It must have shocked her.  Sending my best wishes and hoping mum can get some assistance whilst in this predicament.  I’m so sorry.
  • Afternoon Hazel.  I’ve just finished Lily’s tv and rewarding myself with some tea.  Enjoy your time at the hairdressers.  I hope Chive that you were able to get an update on mum.  I do hope you can visit.  She’d no doubt appreciate a friendly face.  Hope the rules allow.  Try and do something to relax and look after yourself in the meantime.   I hope you are okay.

So sorry to hear about your Mum @Chivetalking … been there with my father so I know a bit of how you feel, but of course we didn’t have the difficulties around visiting 😞 My fingers are very crossed for a really good recovery. 🤞

Afties all. Well I am stuffed. Had an excellent meal out with the gang. Chive and SGL, I did change my mind about what to have and ended up with venison. It was super but I just cannot eat nowadays what I could have coped with several years back and quite a lot of the trimmings were still sitting on the plate - notice none of the important stuff! My main disappointment was I had no room for a dessert! A good time was had by all and we are now looking forward to our next meal in September. When I got back home it was obvious from the large puddles and wet roads that there had been even more rain whilst I was out. So glad I got Lily's TV on twice earlier in the week.
Any news on your Mum Chive? Hoping all is as well as can be. x
Chey had some excellent news today for me. The meds appear to be working and he ask me to pass on how he really appreciates all your kind wishes.

Evening All, thank you so much for all your good wishes it’s been a harrowing time as you can imagine. Mum was laid on the driveway for 2 hours before the ambulance came, during which time the rain came down. It was a frantic search for anything we could use to try and keep the weather off her, meanwhile mum is in agony. I have been to see her this afternoon, only allowed one visitor for an hour slot but I was grateful for that. She has been put in traction to keep the leg straight and will have an operation Monday, physio starts Tuesday. Feel completely shattered, but relieved to have seen her, a strong brew barely touched the sides, now for some thing to eat.
Sorry not to take in all your posts fully, but I do thank you again for the kind support.
My love to all xxx ❤️
