We managed to have our Davidia involucrata keep its hankerchiefs for some while now despite the wind and rain. Fabulous tree. Only took 25 years for it to flower.
@Slow-worm Your astrantias are early! Are they named?
I know! I've got no idea what their names are, I buy from a nursery which doesn't always label their own grown plants. The pink one had been a bit small for a couple of years, but this year it's suddenly increased its size to about 3 times what it was, and the red one was moved in spring as toadflax was crowding it, and it's obviously happy!
