In Belgium I would get bitten by horse-flies as we had horses across the road and cattle next door. I'd come in lumps the size of tennis balls. Horrid. Never occurred to me to wear perfume to garden! I shall try my Eternity then. The only Issey Miyake I have is a couple of Vogue patterns form the early 80s..... Vintage now and not for gardening either.
Here we have horses next door and cattle behind but, so far, not too much bovver with flies tho mozzies seem to find Possum. I get more exercised by the little drops of bloody poo they deposit on surfaces. A PITA to clean sometimes.
I'd better get out and sort out my haul of goodies form yesterday - achillea The pearl, agapanthus, acanthus mollis, bearded irises, huge hellebores, phlomis russelliana, pulmonaria Sissinghurst and some little ground cover plants I don't know. I know some are thugs but I have just the spot for them where they will be free to roam but limited by the conditions. All languishing in big pots till I can get them planted out and for that I need some serious weeding and probably a new bed started.
29C here at 6pm yesterday so I'd better get out before it gets too very hot. Hope you're all enjoying some sunshine.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Just a warning @Obelixx Achillea the Pearl is beautiful but seeds and runs like crazy 😜
Having a busy week - littlest Chicklets graduation ceremony on Thursday was very special. And now off on our holibobs to the IoW. Just boarding a ferry now …..feels like a BIG adventure ⛴⛴⛴
Of course! @Pat E and I have just been talking to my brother, so I should have figured out the time. You are north of Melbourne - is that right? Bon appetit!
No perfume, no bother. Hardly wear perfume now that I have stopped working. Hardly any make up either. With masks and sunglasses, why bother? A tidy up of the sparse eyebrows and that's it!
In for a coffee after some work in the garden. Laterals and tying up. Found some ripe Ossu Blue tomatoes - black/blue on top and red bottoms!
Making Jols fritters for lunch (like whitebait fritters) - tiny Mediterranean fish. I would imagine that @Obelixx gets them up there. A potato salad and a tomato salad.(not my toms yet) Cantaloup melon to finish. Then a snooze.
Going to be scorchio again here today. The tomatoes and de Cayenne chillies certainly seem to be enjoying it!
Today (after Beechgrove ) I'm hoping to complete phase 5 of the project to get rid of the occasional 'pond' that forms in the bottom corner of the back garden. There are currently 8 phases planned with a phase 9 contingency if that's not enough
Morning all back from sunny Scotland yesterday. Long drive not helped by huge stretches of roadworks on M6 & M1 except as usual nothing is going on. Great trip overall, details later. Sorry to hear about your situation @Hostafan1. I have only skimmed back so apologies if I have missed anything else significant.

I've had those wee fish as a nibble with apéro in a restaurant at to port at Les Sables @tui34. I wasn't fussed and Possum was horrified.
Just watching Beechgrove and have decided I really must get a compost sieve.
Going to be scorchio again today, got up to 30 in the garden yesterday.
Watched Nomadland last night, thoroughly deserved its Oscars, rather beautiful.
Am going to have to send Moira off to see her Mum alone, no way I am up to sitting in a car for 8 hours.
