Good morning all 😊 ☕️ its a still and hazy morning here in Norfolk … OH has been for a thrash around the village on his bike … it is our Scarecrow trail weekend; the theme is Our Heroes, and he reports several large Chris Whittys, one with a large hyperdermic needle stuck in a large ‘virus’. I hope that one day Prof Whitty gets to see some photos of how is is regarded here. 😂

Morning folks,it's our wedding anniversary,( wish I hadn't just listened to radio 4 news) We had lunch out yesterday, normally have a little "do" on the nearest Sunday. Invited about a dozen people (yes in the garden) frankly, got fed up with folk not letting me know if they were coming,I cancelled, then got "oh,but why, I was coming", oldest daughter forgot to book the day off work, youngest thought it was Covid nervousness, people not going out,it's not that, because these friends have been to football, and tennis matches, pubs. It's it of work for me,spend most of my day in the kitchen. My grand kids other granny is now doing us at BBQ at hers.
Hi all. Awake at 3, up at 4.30. Tomatoes tied up and armpits shaved and fed in tunnel. Agapanthus on terrace all fed , breakfast eaten and I'm not at the Hospital.
Only if you're looking up from further south @punkdoc!
Good morning Forkers. Sunny here and warm already. I have to sort some pots and trugs and so on as I've been called to rescue some plants by a fellow garden club member. She has a house she rents out that did, once, have a beautiful garden but the last tenants have completely neglected it and she wants to simplify it. Do I have space? Yes. Bring OH and his muscles then. That's our afternoon sorted then.
Glad you had a good day for your anniversary @Busy-Lizzie.
Hope all are well and you get a sunny day to enjoy. Hugs where needed.

Glad you're having a day off @Hostafan1 ... try to relax a bit ... take a wander around the lake and through the wood ... it's gorgeous down there.
Well, I should really have left having a shower until after I'd done the watering and fed the squashes, tomatoes, beans, courgettes, cannas etc etc etc ..... OH had to hose my legs and feet down to get the mud off ...... and bless him he says that next time they're due for a feed he'll do it, as my back is complaining about the weight of so many watering cans of tomato feed mix. He's also volunteered to pot on the chillis this evening as I need to start making the pizzas for supper in a minute ...... he really is earning his keep as an Under Gardener now

Good idea to have a day off @Hostafan1. Snooze when you feel the need and just potter quietly in the meantime and enjoy the sunshine.
OH and I have had a good clear out in the potager. All my empty pots are now sorted and stacked, a rose cutting potted up and some lily bulbs re-potted. Lots of snails given to the chooks. Tomatoes and chillies watered in the PT.
OH has pulled loads of weeds and scalped the raspberries. These are plants we moved from a weed infested, inherited bed out in the middle of the plot and re-planted in well-manured soil on the north side of the PT. They have grown enormous - 2m high - spread like wildfire into the paths either side and even into the PT and the raspberries are a better size and shape but lack flavour so out they must go.
Rates of Covid infections along the Vendée coast around Les Sables have rocketed now the holiday makers have arrived from Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, inland France.... Quelle surprise! And some of their driving behaviour at La Tranche yesterday just beggars belief.

Home now and the remote doors to the garage wont open, so I can't get in, manual key is in the back of the door.
Garry has called me twice to ask me to drive back up there to change the DVD in his laptop. He can't get it to open.
