    Have to agree - having lived in Lancashire and Cheshire and visited Yorkshire often - different soils, climates, rocks, rainfall, winds.......

    Huge difference between Cheshire and Yorkshire !
    Also west side of the Pennines is completely different to the east side !
    Much of a muchness ?
    really ?
    It’s all still Northern @Tracy.key2 … Victoria Wood said so https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DHscyhDp6Nk

    There’s some folk who think that Suffolk and Norfolk are similar 🤯

    @Tracy.key2 😊
    @punkdoc and I are old friends from waaaaay back … from time to time we indulge in a little mutual leg pulling …. as with most (but apparently not all) folk from ‘oop north’ he has a well developed and rather dry sense sense of humour which matches my own. If you read back on today’s posts you’ll see ‘he started it’ 🤣

    @Dovefromabove, I admit I started it, but Yorkshire is very definitely the right side of the hills.

    I've planted all my new plants. It's been a lovely day. We had lunch in the garden. The chicken and leek pie went down well for our anniversary dinner, washed down with bubbly, followed by strawberries and cream.

    Good morning all.

    Ahhh!  The wind has abated.  We had 100kmph yesterday afternoon!!  The sun is shining and the pot plants and flower garden have had a drink!  The swallows are swooping and those darned pigeons are cooing.

    Our "Spanish influenced" festivities started yesterday evening with a flamenco show and a pena - a (not altogether) oompa brass band.   Fabulous!  Lots of people, some masked, some not as masks are not mandatory in open air spaces.  Respectful distancing even though there were lots of people.   Pastis, rosé, Monaco and Diabolo Menthe!! The Feria in Beziers seems to be still going ahead early August.

    @Obelixx I am a chocaholic too.  There's always a comment in the chocolate aisle from the shoppers, that it's the best aisle in the supermarket where you'll find the connaisseurs!  Yes, I too, find bacon with rind at our LeClerc.  I try not to indulge, but there's nothing that beats a busman's breakfast!!  (Or full English!)

    @Busy-Lizzie   Happy Anniversary to you both.  Nice you were finally in the same room!

    @Hostafan1   Fingers crossed - of course!

    Pleasant day to one and all.
