Never heard of pussy cat bows before but thought they didn’t look right with that dance

I agreee @GWRS it seemed out of place somehow, with the lovely floaty skirt.More like office wear😊

It wasn't until the results show on Sunday evening that I noticed how incredibly long Johannes' neck is, and his head quite small.  Possibly because the neckline on their costumes was also low it really accentuated that.  The impression not helped by John's much more muscular physique.  Unfortunately it immediately brought to my mind the scene from 'Men in Black' where Jeebs regrows his head.

  • 😁😁

Have you also noticed how he has his mouth wide open in the latin dances?

There's something about him that I really don't like although I can't explain what it is.  Nothing to do with his sexuality, but I really don't even like watching him dancing.

Each to their own!  I love watching Johannes and have to keep reminding myself he is the pro and it is John I should be watching!

For some reason many professional/competitive ballroom dancers seem to think that gurning is all part of the dance.   I find it very unattractive.  Dancing should make you smile, not grimace.

As for Johannes, he has never hidden the fact that he is gay but I do think this year, bouyed up (forgive the aural pun) by his partnership with John, he is really letting his feminine side show.  I don't mind but OH thinks he's gone OTT.  What's more important IMHO is that he's enjoying the freedom to express himself, that he's teaching John well and coming up with some entertaining and interesting choreographies and performances and yes, he is long, tall and skinny and very elegant with it.

I agree and I can't explain either what it is, maybe he's too supple and wriggly and he pulls faces.

But I find Giovanni attractive, despite the big generation gap!
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

I absolutely agree … his dancing, with such elegantly extended lines, is so exceptional that my eye is drawn to him all the time … and I think John benefits from that 😉. I’ve never noticed anything about him opening his mouth … it’s not his mouth I’m watching … you must all have very large tv screens …
