I think that Motsi may have been a bit uncomfortable with her costume every time she stood up she had to pull and reposition the gusset no wonder she looked as she did probably longing to get into something more comfortable.
Motsi clearly always wants to be the centre of attention - rather like Bruno. The wierd outfits and ever more ridiculous hair do's support that belief.
Isn’t it to be expected that top performers or ex performers will be inclined to draw a bit of attention to themselves? It’s hardly a sphere of work that shy retiring types excel in. 😉

By the way, it’s been explained on several occasions that Shirley and Motsi’s outfits are provided by the same team that do the dancers’ outfits, and were all selected at the beginning of the series, with each specific week’s programme in mind, in the same way that Claudia and Tess’s outfits are. They don’t bring something out of their wardrobe at home. The whole programme is ‘designed’ and ‘dressed’ by the costume department under the art director.
It appears that many members of the public have little idea of what goes into making a light entertainment tv programme 😜

I wondered where Anton had got all of those embossed jackets from, I suppose the good thing with the BBC providing the costumes the judges can't claim the cost against tax.
No, instead the cost seems to be coming out of the government's funding of the BBC and your licence fee so you're paying for it more directly!
Given her figure, I don't think Motsi's outfit is ever going to be discreet and understated and African hair is a law unto itself with all that tight crinkling. You either go short and sharp and close to the head like Oti and wear wigs to change your look or let it grow and do the beading and braiding thing or brush it out and sculpt it. Some of Motsi's hairdos have been amazing.
