Talking about the off button if you hate sport, yes I do,how come EastEnders and Coronation Street is never cancelled. Even Christmas Day, nope don't watch them either. Feeling extremely curmudgeon ly to the bloody deer that ran out in front of my poor daughter last night,it ran off appeared uninjured!!
Loving all of the Olympics, don't care what competitions there are, imo the mixed swimming relays are particularly fascinating, because of the different order the teams choose to swim. Only problem for me, has been lack of sleep.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team

Given the lack of decent alternative TV available, I've been in bed by 9pm most nights
Why do we ever split the genders then? I could have a best football team made of 6 men and 5 women or 7 women and 4 men or....choose a gender number combinbation. Why not have 60kg men fighting 60kg women in boxing? Why not have a relay race with 3 men, 1 woman? Or 3 women, 1 man? Or whatever combination? Why not have mixed 8's in rowing? What combinations could you get from 8? 4/4/, 5/3, 6/2, 7/1?

I'm re-watching Poldark
@steveTu I think you can reasonably expect not to see mixed gender teams in contact sports. But in motor racing, golf, snooker, darts, shooting - what's the point of differentiating? There's no gender advantage. The equestrian sports don't have 'male' and 'female' races (well they do, but that's the horses not the riders). They've played mixed doubles in tennis for decades.
The best thing about the Olympics (and I think Sir Andy Murray will back me up here) is that athletes who generally spend all their time entirely self obsessed become a part of a team and find they are expected to encourage others and cheer for someone apart from themselves. Creating that ethos as a mixed gender group seems like a logical move. 'It's about taking part' and all that.

maybe mix it up some more by having runners and swimmers wearing heavy back packs. or dragging weights behind them , or somebody else. Dressed up in big faomy costumes. No more BMX, get the penny farthings out. Rather than going round in circles., have them run in a figure of 8.( especially interesting in Formula 1 ) Does this sound like " It's a knockout"? At least that gave us a laugh too.

Which sport will take over the chat / news / tv and radio then?
