Morning all. We got back safe and sound yesterday lunchtime. Good jouneys on both Tues and Wed so not too bad at all.

Spent yesterday afternoon unpacking both vans, did 3 lots of washing (2 more to go), cut the grass, visited my friend who keeps an eye on the house and finally sat down at to watch the second half of the Federer match. He seemed very off form and I suspect he might not be back next year. Very sad - Wimbers won't be Wimbers without Woger.

OH is cleaning both vans today and I'm off to SM and town. Need to get a wriggle on SYL👋

    Morning all,

The good weather is back here and everything is growing at top speed.

Done an hour or two in the garden and off for a run now :)

  • LB I’m glad you retrieved your cloth things, phew.  What a great result yesterday.  Chive I hope your clothes stay dry.   Topbird gosh you sound full of energy.  It will be good to be back in your own bed.  Yes Federer didn’t play to his previous standard.  Well we all have off days.  As you say, I hope he’ll be back.  Hazel I hope your deliveries come speedily.  I wonder what you will be knitting next.  Lily Ill join you in a cuppa.  Biglad cyrils and Brian’s abound.  Have a good day everyone.

    Hello all  :)

Glad you're back safe and sound @Topbird .... sounds as if you had a lovely break.

I've been busy this morning ... shot off early to the Farm Shop to get fruit, meat and veg etc for the next week or so ... expecting a delivery of some new knitting needles today or tomorrow, and while  the needles themselves will fit through the letterbox, there's no guarantee that they'll be packed so that can happen  ;)

Anyway, I'm back, shopping has been sanitised and put away, watering and checking has been done, washing has been hung out and rice and boiled eggs have been cooked for kedgeree this evening.

Just a quick tidy up then I'll be ready to watch the tennis ... enjoy your day everyone.

Oh @Songbird-1 I agree, I hate the grunting.
And footballers spitting! 🤢 I hated it before Covid, but now I just can't understand how they get away with it. And that other thing they do with their nose 😫🤬 Saw a footballer do that the other night, absolutely disgusting.

I agree about grunting and spitting.

I did gardening here this morning, planted the rest of my new plants and weeded. Also had a long phone chat with Daughter 1. Then this afternoon I helped weed at the rectory garden. The church wardens had asked for help as new vicars are being interviewed and it's a mess. The last vicar left nearly 2 years ago. I'm quite tired now.

We are going to see if our local pub, walking distance, is open, except OH can't walk to it anymore. We'll take the car.

Afties all. I've had a marvellous day - gardening at my Bestie's. We do have a laugh! Sun came out so all those who had Lily's TV in action I'm sure that the cloth things will be nice and dry now. The wool sounds lovely Hazel. Bestie has been knitting matinee outfits for the prem babies. They look so teeny.
I just caught the end of the Plishkova Sabalenko match and at least we have got rid of the last of the squealers - so unneccessary.
Busy, I'm glad that you have now got all your new plants in situ - you must be very pleased with your work and how kind of you to assist in weeding the rectory garden. Time for you to take it easy for a while. Enjoy the pub.

Evening All, it looks and feels stormy here.
Debs Hope your floor was finished off today,
Glad you had a good day with bestie LB,

Bluebells Cloth things dry, pressed and put away and some weeding done 👍

    Biglad I liked Dougal 🙂
Rubee Did you manage to remove the Ivy? I had a couple of huge weeds to pull and they put up enough of a fight 💪
SGL That is disgusting I agree, not setting a good example to all the young fans when they do that 🤢
Busy That was a good deed done today, enjoy a nice drink & meal at the pub,
Edited as I’ve just seen your post LB.
    Have a nice evening everyone.
