@lavinford sorry you have had a rough introduction to the forum. I know you are a devotee of Gardeners' World and have found it very inspiring. The forum regulars here tend to be suspicious of anything to do with tech, new ideas and anyone new; it does the forum no favours. It can feel like a closed club to new arrivals. If they don't personally understand or like a thing they tend to dismiss it.
ASMR is such a big thing that I'm sure your videos will be much appreciated by those who who maybe sick or struggling - they will appreciate being able to see someone enjoying their garden and the natural world, pottering about in the sun.
I have made enough videos and led enough tech projects to know how exciting it can be and how much you want to share them with others. Don't be disheartened! Onwards and Upwards! Enjoy sharing your gardening with the world!
I had a look ... I'd rather be doing than watching ... what's the point of that ... it reminded me of science fiction films where disembodied brains are fed 'virtual experiences' ............ not for me ... if I want sensory feedback I'll get my hands in the soil.
Everyone, including my wife and I would rather be doing than watching. If you are in hospital for month at a time and not able to move it’s better than junk TV and adverts.
Not in hospital, but I have been laid up and unable to garden for considerable periods of my time, so I have some awareness of what it must be like. I have also spent a large part of my life working in the field of autism, so have an awareness of sensory sensitivitiy and stimulus. I'm not sure that watching other folk gardening would meet many of those needs ... however film and sound of plants moving in the wind might be a way to go. The crunch of feet on gravel, or walking on frosted grass ... perhaps? One of the things I found unsatisfying about your video was the lack of good quality atmospheric sound ... it stopped it being an immersive experience.
Also ... you asked the question ... don't blame us if you don't like the answer.
I exhibit my paintings ... if the critics write negative stuff I need to reflect on what they've said ... not dismiss it out of hand. I may disagree with them and carry on down my chosen path ... but I do care what they think ... if I'm not getting my ideas across it's me that's failing ... not them.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Fire, there are more people than you think who suffer with Tripophobia, myself included.
However much someone tries to rationalise it to you, the more you wish you had not said anything.
With you there.

I do not blame anyone for anything…..
I do however really appreciate your comment as that is actually helpful.
As I said in the beginning I am a photographer so I know critics..

I think Lavinford, quite reasonably, might have expected a bit of genuine curiosity in the project rather than cat vomit, cynicism and defensiveness (Pansy's words). Interest in other people's worlds and experiences cost nothing. Even if it turns out that s/he was selling something, a few flags and the post goes away. It's not like the site is under threat and the wasps have to defend the nest.
Tech is not the opposite of gardening. 'I don't like it" is not the same as "it's not useful".
I think that Lavinford might, if he/they had spent a little while checking out the forum, quite reasonably have expected and prepared themselves for a wide range of responses .... gardeners include a wide range of people and experiences...
I know from experience that when you have an idea that's new to you, and you think it's great, you want to share and improve it ... the problem is that not everyone gets it, and along with the folk that do get it and want to help, there are others that don't get it .......... and you asked for their opinions too, so they give them ... some of them are careful with your ego ... and some call a spade a spade ... especially if they're gardeners.

I have a youtube channel. It used to have films of my underwater experiences, that I posted for friends. I made longer versions on discs with music on.(problems with copyright issue with music over the top) My sister said it relaxed her and sent her to sleep. Now we haven't been diving for a couple of years it is morphing into the animals that we get in the garden. I am on a local group of about 250 members. About 30 watch the animal (foxes and deer and birds) films. The others are not interested. When the deer first appeared I had someone call me a liar, it couldn't possibly be in my garden, and I had made it up to stop the building development. Well I hadn't faked it, and we did stop the building development. If you post stuff out in public some people will not like it. My video of a whale shark circling us on Christmas Island has has 136,382 views . 429 gave it a thumbs up. 39 gave it a thumbs down. Many do not watch it to the end.
For me it brings back memories of a wonderful holiday, and an experience unlikely to be repeated. After an hour in the water , when the whale sharks finally departed, the camera had flat batteries and out of film, but the high we were on could never be duplicated by chemical means.
Most of the comments are good. Occasionally I get someone who doesn't have a clue what they are talking about.
If you put yourself out there, you have to accept that not everyone agrees with you.
Hi @lavinford, I know about ASMR but have never found that videos give me the sensation described - as @Fire says I'm just not wired that way. However I find ASMR sounds very helpful to play while working from home - they provide company without distraction and actually help me to focus. I liked your video and found it really very calming. My only issue is that the intro music felt very jarring as a contrast to the content. Maybe your ASMR videos could skip or mute the intro?
As a suggestion for future content, I would enjoy watching a border being methodically weeded from end to end ☺️

I have worked all over the world and have seen and experienced horrific events, yet still I give people a chance on the first or even a second count.
I do certainly take your point though.
Maybe this society or culture we live in make some of us cynical and defensive.
so the lesson for me here is to be a member for a long time of anywhere before I can ask for help or opinions?
More seriously, though, I love our cat who is literally amazing….. apart from his amazing ability to projectile vomit in the early hours.
