Good luck with your channel, @lavinford I'm sure if some subscribers have already expressed an interest in more ASMR content then you're on the right track. I find that actually doing the gardening is the most relaxing thing for me, but if I couldn't do that I would watch.
'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.'
The music was too annoying so how on earth that is good for ASMR I don’t know. Maybe your followers watch on mute.
I like to know the content of a video before watching - what the point of it is. This is just you pottering and and unless I know what it’s leading up to (what I am going to learn/gain by watching) I don’t want to see you opening a shed really slowly. That’s as far as I got in watching.

It's for people who are into ASMR. The music is only in the intro.
Perhaps putting the full title instead of the abbreviations would have been helpful! I didnt open the thread originally because I had no idea what it stood for.
I had a look ... I'd rather be doing than watching ... what's the point of that ... it reminded me of science fiction films where disembodied brains are fed 'virtual experiences' ............ not for me ... if I want sensory feedback I'll get my hands in the soil.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Cats are hilarious when they throw up in the wee hours lol…….. not 😔.
ASMR gardening is about the atmosphere which includes the sounds as well as what you may see whilst you garden.
Like I said originally, my wife was very unwell and could not garden for quite some time.
I came up with the idea of bringing the garden to her whilst she was in hospital for extended periods and trying to make it as atmospheric as I could.
luckily the GW magazines and other publications GW do together with the RHS helped both my wife and I find our way back into enjoying gardening. What I mean by this, is that by looking at the pictures and using your imagination you can visualise yourself being there. My wife could not walk for some time and would often not be able to lift her head at all, so to take her out on any level was not a good idea.
I do find it very odd why everyone is so scared to watch even a few seconds of one of our channel videos to forward an opinion. There is no trick here and no money to be had for either of us.
All I wanted was some ideas of what to film. I only have 50 subscribers so I don’t have many comments either, just the odd one or two here and there.
I honestly thought that the GW forum would actually be supportive and helpful. Comments without looking at what I am asking for help for are a little redundant.
This was quite obviously a waste of time and effort.
We have subscribed to GW for years and I was talking with my wife in the middle of the night about ideas and we thought that by being forum members we could ask for people to look and tell us what they thought. As opposed to comment and not look at all. You were better off not commenting to begin with.
I personally get a negative response to certain visual patterns - Trypophobia. I've had it all my life but it seems to be getting stronger with age. I also have very strong, negative response to engine vibration noise - soft or loud.
I like gardening videos, design, planting and building habitat for wildlife. I follow Dixter and Red Garden video channels. If other people like to watch someone growing carrots and find that relaxing, then, all power to them. There are very many worse videos themes on Youtube to spend time on.

Everyone, including my wife and I would rather be doing than watching. If you are in hospital for month at a time and not able to move it’s better than junk TV and adverts.Fire said:

Fire, you are so kind and thank you in trying to help us in this forum as literally we are about to unsubscribe as this is turning out to be a very negative experience.
“I KNOW THIS IS NOT FOR EVERYONE” I just want ideas for filming. So if you imagine you can hardly eat a thing, feel sick and can’t move for weeks at a time ask yourself what you would like to be seeing on a screen that does not over tax you mentally.
I do agree with other comments about video ASMR, however….. any screen watching for sleep is not a good thing, even if it’s rain drops with bunny rabbits etc…. Sounds are, on the other hand can be relaxing, awake or not…..
