How much vinegar do you use as a conditioner? - all the googley stuff seems to quote American'ish 'cups' - is it about 100ml?

A couple of times a year i run an empty wash with Dettol Washing Machine Cleaner 5 in 1, and rub down the seal with half a lemon regularly to keep the machine smelling nice.

Sorry for any misunderstanding. My fault entirely.
I was referring to soda crystals when I said " them ".
I've never used vinegar for anything, ever.

It's nice on chips. And in salad dressings

I don’t use that sort of vinegar …
I buy household vinegar in big 5 litre containers like this

I’ve had a real laugh at some of the comments on this thread,  I think they must come from the younger readers we have.
We have cesspit drainage, nothing remotely like anti bacterial or bleach goes down the drains.
My parents were lucky if they ever got their clothes washed,  if I live as long as either of them I’ll be more than lucky.

I have started re using it. I found that stuff washed but not used for a couple of months, bedding, towels, smelt "stale" after taking it out of the airing cupboard, and had to be re washed. 10 years ago,I used comfort tea tree/ylang-ylang,it was quite a mild, natural type smell. They discontinued it! I use Lidl own cheap powder on whites/lights. Box lasts 6 months at least. This week,I bought a bottle of two in one. Almost every thing is done on cold wash. I disagree about the powder not dissolving. We lived in a ground floor maisonette,in the 80s, terrible water pressure it, didn't disolve,I have no problems here. I ignore the dosage on the package. The dispenser drawer is cleaned regularly, and hubby takes it apart a bit more. Regularly use the machine clean on hot cycle. I like to put fabric conditioner on the filters of my vacuum cleaner, after washing then, much better than the 'doggy' smell that eminates when it's used. Am trying the all in one,see how that smells
