Recommendations for Garden People to follow on Instagram/Twitter

  On a Monday evening there is a #gardenshour where you will find lots of gardeners sharing pictures etc. Mostly normal folk with gardens of all shapes and sizes. 

  
   Just join in and follow who you like if they interest you. They’re all very friendly. 

  
  

  There is also a #sixonsaturday and #eosewednesday for picture sharing. 

  
  Lots and lots of people you can follow through searching those  hashtags.
  
  

  They are all very friendly. One of the nicest places to be on Twitter. 

  
  

  A lot of the big gardens also have a Twitter accounts and some of their gardeners are there too. Nurseries, specialists . They’re all there.  

  
  

  I would say most of the well know. Gardeners are there you just need know their Twitter name.  It can help to search who other people follow to find some. 

  
  

  Plenty to keep you going. 

  
  

  No idea about Instagram.

  I suppose it depends what sort of gardening things you're interested in! But, a few accounts I enjoy scrolling through are:
  
  @themontydon
  @swancottageflowers
  @gardenersworldmag
  @mick_brown (a Chatsworth house gardener)
  @bbcspringwatch (not sure if that really counts as gardening though!)
  @rhsbridgewater (or any of the RHS accounts)
  @mrsbeesgarden

  I'm not so keen on Twitter but some of the Instagram accounts that I follow:
  
  Arthur Parkinson - if you like his books then you'll like his feed. He has a fondness for Joanna Lumley and Helen Bonham Carter and I get the feeling has to censor himself quite a lot on social media (but even then a fair bit slips through!).
  
  Phoebes_flora - by Phoebe Chambers, a Chatsworth gardener.
  
  My Real Garden - Ann Marie Powell - gorgeous garden
  
  Nick Bailey - some good ideas for planting combinations
  
  Clive Nichols - a garden photographer
  
  Anya the Garden Fairy - she does some lovely short videos on things like pinching out plants, adding plant supports, making cuttings. She has chickens and seems generally quite likeable.

  Ive been recommended @Pathavers who’s apparently the head gardener at Waterperry and Ive followed her today on Instagram and her photos are stunning.

  Oh if you like topiary then James Todman's feed is a good one to follow. His reels are very therapeutic to watch.
