Apologies for digressing slightly @punkdoc but I once went to the funeral of a schoolfriend who was killed tragically young. The service and immediate aftermath were heart-breaking, but the gathering back at a local pub soon turned into a great celebration with many stories and memories exchanged. Due to the relatively young demographic of the mourners, it then turned into a wild night as nobody went home!
During the evening I was offered sex, drugs and a place on the board of directors at a local football club The strangest and 'best' funeral that I imagine I'll ever attend!
Hi again everyone.  Well, by 9pm, we had a good cover of snow on my plants and driveway. I’ve tried to download it, but something isn’t working.  Obelixx, I also hope the Roos have found some shelter. They often snuggle down under our Pinus pinea trees which have  lots of pine needles under them.I hope so anyway.
Well ... I haven't done the 'sitting among the honeysuckle' ... no shade from the ash tree now it's been pollarded, and it is very hot out there ... but I have pulled up the forget me nots and OH has helped me fix some clematis netting on the back fence so I could tie in Betty Corning who has suddenly become rampant ........ but it's too hot out there to plant the gaura ... I've even given the squashes and tomatoes a soaking ... I wouldn't normally water in the middle of the day, but they were very floppy ... now I'm indoors with windows and doors open front and back to get a bit of a draught through the house, and I've got a tall cold glass of apple juice and elderflower squash and I'm putting my feet up for ten minutes. Â

Glad the funeral went well Punkdoc and hope you enjoy the wedding on Friday. It's turned cloudy here as well Hostafan but it does make gardening a bit more easier. I was wiped out by the heat yesterday. This morning I've repotted some of the plug plants I've been nuturing for my daughter as they are growing fast. I've just texted her to ask if she can come up and collect them before we go away early July. I can't quite remember Obelixx, did you leave the walls of the barns up (you mention the cave) or was it all demolished. It sounds like you have lots of useful outbuildings. Supper sounds moreish Dove, I think we'll have fish and chips as it's cooler. You're streets ahead of us Busy-Lizzie, it will be weeks before we get to eat anything from the garden, although I'm hopeful that strawberries may soon be ready. I've ordered icecream in anticipation. I'm surprised but pleased, I phoned the Surgery earlier to arrange another steroid shoulder jab and they can fit me in on Friday! Last one was in 2019 and I've been trying to do without but the pain, especially if I accidently sleep on that side, is getting worse so needs must. I was anticipating a wait of at least three weeks. OH has also been referred for a hip x-ray so that's a relief as well. Right, better get on out there and do some more potting on. Â
Barn walls still standing @Lizzie27. I have lots of photos of before during and after but need to sort and re-size them before posting.
Hot out there now but OK in the Cave which is just a beaten earth floored space between the livable annex and the wee garden shed, all with stone walls and decent roofing but the Cave is long and dark and has impressive old beams.  At the end there's a flat concrete platform which houses a 2,500 litre oil tank but the rest is slightly sloping, hence all the earlier mortaring and tiling to have straight shelves.
4 of the chooks have been to visit. Shade is good at this time of day and so are water breaks for them and me.
Good luck with the steroid jab. I have 3 booked for my knees in July but not steroids, hyaluronic acid injections for arthritis. The worst part is when he takes fluid off the knee first.  Huge needle and no warning.  Lousy "bedside" manner too.

I was completely disinterested in one, curious about another and very tempted by the third
