Hello all from my daughter's, south of Poitiers. Daughter's garden is beautiful, masses of roses. I've posted some photos on the Garden Gallery.

@Yviestevie I'm glad your OH is improving. You will enjoy Cornwall and its gardens. We had a great time there a few years ago.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

@Biglad feel free to discuss the football. We all have our funny little ways. It’s good to have things in your life that bring you joy, even if others are left cold by your enthusiasms. If it makes you happy you go for it!
My fiancé loves the TT motorbike racing I could not be less interested but it’s good to see him enjoying it. If we all liked the same things it would be a dull old world wouldn’t it?

Biglad, I have just seen the horrendous scene of the player Christian Eriksen going down. I have never seen anything so terrible occur before. There are no words.

  • Yes I’ve just seen it reported.   Apparently he’s stable now so I hope he makes a full recovery.

I'm amazed that they've restarted the game. It was one of the most upsetting things I've seen, so goodness knows how those players close the event felt. Muamba recovered so hopefully Christian will as well (big assumption that it was the same problem). Hope he has his family with him and the press leave them alone. An unbelievably scary time for him and his family.

It was such a surreal incident - I think there should be a media protocol with major pitch injuries and incidents as the cameras kept rolling and unless you're a ghoul I don't think anyone wants to see anything like that.
If that was his wife, it seemed that Schmeichel and the Danish captain were trying their best to shield her from the sight as the medical team tried to treat the poor sod.

@steveTu I agree with you completely. The cameras should have been shut down within seconds when they realised what was happening. How bad must his wife have felt watching them using CPR on her husband.
I was pleased and relieved to hear he was awake and stabilised. The closest horror incident for me was hearing a rugby player's leg break when I had gone up to Scotland to the Melrose Sevens Tournament. One of my nephews was playing in it and teams on the field were getting into a ruck when this noise made everyone wince - even the hardy rugby players but to witness something as horrible as that today was blood chilling.
