Was your tone (which I take to be aggressive and confrontational) your choice? And why then be crappy and confrontational?
It's your choice to 'hear' anger in what I've written. If you chose to read my comments as mildly amused you'll react differently. Given you can't see me and don't know me (or anyone else on the forum), my tone of voice is all in your perception - your choice. I'll add to see if that helps.
As it happens, I 'heard' your post as a hypothetical scenario and responded in the same way, so no reason to be angry. Were I to believe that you are actually behaving that badly towards your wife I might be more annoyed. I opted not think the worst of you. My choice

Is anyone else getting this wretched whole page advert you have to keep scrolling past. Driving me nuts.😡
So much so I didn't really finish my other point, this same author goes on to talk about parallel universes, where every scenario possible is played out. It's theory and speculation mostly, but if you think you're not in control of your life maybe there's a reason for it. Certainly makes you think. BTW low blood sugar can certainly make you grumpy just ask my wife 😄
True, B3 Which is why we're all here in the corner
Parallel universes always bother me, at least in films. The sci-fi world sees an alternative universe as one in which I married the other bloke and became a different person, living a different life. But surely, actually, the alternative universes don't have humans in them, mankind's existence being a result of a series of improbably random occurrences? As opposed to just all the same people with slightly different hair-dos?

Some the the paradoxes disappear if you cease to see time as linear. Even our own perception of time changes with mood. Time as we see it and measure it is a construct designed by the mathematically inclined
I went to school and did my GCSEs and possibly a levels with one half of identical twins. Both passed the entrance exam and got admitted but one was more academically gifted. He did his alevels and got into Newcastle University to study agricultural science with the intention to come back to his family farm.
The less academically gifted got enough GCSEs to go to college and study a BTEC in agriculture. Being more practically based apparently he did well.
The last I heard the guy I did a levels with got into Newcastle and his BTEC brother got his BTEC and got accepted to study agricultural science at Newcastle university. They were identical in every way except in talents such as academic ability. However they were both good at farming so probably both got the same degree at the same time.

If you want a greater understanding of time, watch the most recent programme by Brian Cox. He looks back at some of his past programmes and updates us with current thinking.
