@Emptyheadtime ..what's that one called please?.. nice foliage..
@edhelka .. I like your Marie Pavie standard... it's already better than the one I have in the ground, which I've been studying for past 2 years and wondered if I actually have that rose or a similar called 'Marie-Jeanne'.. the foliage looks different on yours to mine.. however when I check HMF some pictures on there of M Pavie conform to my plant..
@Nollie ...just to say thanks for holding the fort here for past 8 weeks... don't know what we would have done without your roses, as ours just dribs and drabs, but warmer weather on the way, and I have a feeling it's all going to be opening at once here.. so we should be joining you very soon..
I'm hoping that the warm weekend will bring on my roses. My poor Celebration has opened, but is a damaged specimen ☹ , hope the tight buds have survived Also the Blue for You is so bud laden if they all open it may need support!
@Marlorena it's local hamstone quarried about 3 miles away. When we first came here there was a huge pile of it left over from when the previous occupants had the conservatory built. My OH has built several walls to use it up and it weathers in fairly quickly. This is his most recent effort with one of the original garden walls behind. That's Starlight Symphony on the wall, it doesn't seem to mind the fact that it gets only about 4 hours sun even at this time of year.
Beautiful house and garden @Suesyn. I am watching with interest and enjoying your Mme. AC, having just planted one 😊 I cut off all the nascent blooms when I planted it though, as it had bad mildew. I understand it is a little prone to it, the topsy-turvey weather here certainly seems to have brought it out.
The handover is nigh @Marlorena! I can really feel everyone’s frustration at the slow start, so I’m happy to oblige in the meantime. Wonder why DA changed to blue pots, quite a startling colour.
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
@purplerallim ..your Blue For You is going to be impressive.. when I had it I didn't need to hold it in place, it was self supporting when in full flush, so fingers crossed for yours..

A blackbird couple enjoying the wildlife pond, best thing I did last year!
... @Suesyn
your OH is so clever,.. I've no idea about these things but it looks a good job to me.. how handy to have those stones left over..
'Mme Antoine Mari'.. almost there..
