@edhelka ... I still have 'The Wren' but I'm disappointed that there was no repeat this year.. it hasn't flowered since July and there is no sign of change.. of course the weather has been dreadful but even so, other roses manage it.. I might not keep it.. it also has a weak neck but I forgave it for that.. ... I had no room for Artemis but I'd like to get it back again if only for a pot.. ..Aquarell blackspotted and defoliated after the first flush, and on a HT I won't tolerate that..
I'm impressed with 'Golden Memories' and 'Frilly Cuff'.. repeat is good so I'm planting in the border this winter.. I'm also enjoying 'Donatella' and 'Pink Martini'.. these are keepers into next year, and I love the colour on 'Dr. O'Donel Browne', even if it does ball in summer.. 'Tahiti' I'm not sure... 'Commandant Beaurepaire' has grown well, very thorny but I loved the blooms on it, but no repeat.. I have to decide on this one, also the Autumn Damask isn't showing me much either, which is disappointing.. 'Aimee Vibert' flowers so late and the blooms turned a horrible muddy colour without dropping...
@Omori Apologies that I have meant I have included TP in the last TCL order. I have been told by TCL that they are not allowed to ship DA roses any more.
@Nollie The Price is amazing and I will try to get this time.
I’m just so thrilled when a rose is happy here @Omori, so tend to over share those ones!
I’m fine with giving a rose a couple of seasons to settle, but when a rose is disease-ridden or balls/ages badly right from the start that is not a good sign really. I’ve discovered I have a low tolerance of mildew and three roses are on my watchlist for that reason - they refuse to grow out of it despite constant hydration.
Will you give your Aimèe Vibert another season @Marlorena? Also how is Sombreuil doing for you? Thanks.

@Omori of course, happy to - its a styles one. They had two potted so I went to collect one as its lincolnshire, about an hour away - they offer various sizes bare root standard though.
@Nollie ...I'm not sure, because I love the apple scent on it, it's the kind of fragrance I love most, but it will have to flower earlier than it did this year.. it's also got quite a bit of blackspot which has surprised me.
'Sombreuil' is gone... as you know I over plant then make a call as to which I keep, which can be premature but that didn't make the cut... not a good year for white roses that turn manky without dropping and I couldn't look at it any longer, - there wasn't much scent to speak of either... Best left to California..
Thanks @Marlorena, that’s helpful. I have had both on my list for ages but only need one and currently AV is winning - a later starter would be OK for me since I start earlier. Sombreuil probably wouldn’t survive my heavy summer downpours. I think I was seduced by that lady’s one in Crete, as I was with her Marechal Neil, but I’m glad I went for Duchesse d’ Auerstadt instead. Hope Devoniensis comes good for you.

@Nollie ..ah yes, Daisy's fabulous garden in Crete... she also raved about a climbing Hybrid Tea rose called 'Columbia', which I think is still available here... she once said that over a 7 year period it was never without blooms for the whole of that time... I've always meant to try it, but it's a little tender..
Mind you, I could almost say the same about 'Mme Antoine Mari' here, because it's rarely without blooms except when I'm forced to prune it hard in winter..
@newbie77@Marlorena Thank you. I want the yellow one - 'Comtessa'. I guess that the disease resistance is the same as 'AL' and 'Aquarell', so I'll only give it a small pot and evaluate after one season.
