I dont mind a few adverts, it's how the site pays for itself and gives free content. It also subsidises the areas that you might choose to pay for. What really annoys me is sometimes there are adverts that pop up over the whole screen and you have to actively get around them or close them. Also the ads before videos where you should be able to "skip" after a few seconds, but the skip button either doesn't work or actually opens up a new window for the advertiser.

I agree hatty, especially when its on the secret garden area that you have to be a subscriber to view. Or at least you are supposed to.

I thought it was a he.

Anyhow GW have responded. Saying adverts should not be visible on secret Garden. That it is a technical error and thanked me for bringing it to their attention.

    Beside myself @Hostafan1 😂
No idea what I’ve done to upset the OP ... I only tried to explain the situation ... you know me, I don’t think I’ve ever been vitriolic in my life but hey ho... I’ll not stay where I’m not wanted ... 🛋 ☕️

I don't use an ad blocker:
1 it amuses me to see what they think they can sell me.
    2. It seems a bit dishonest to me to block the ads on a site that's free to me.  They have to make a crust. It's not a charity.

I like a bit of vitriol. Especially if I'm not involved!
Scrolled the thread twice and can't find any. How disappointing😞

  • I turn it off for most sites myself, the only sites I use ad block on are youtube and most social media. I don’t think those multimillion dollar companies need any ad revenue off me   :#
