I have 4 in the garden @takhana, growing at an amazing rate actually, and although the ffrost/cold has left the hydrangeas are looking very sad and even a couple of the roses a bit droopy and half an Acer tree bald the peonies are absolutely fine. They are left in the ground all year though, yours may well be too mollycoddled at the moment to take the plunge. I am sure someone else will have a better idea.
Mine have been in the front garden which is a bit of a frost pocket for the past 7 years. Tough as old boots, but I imagine if they’ve been kept in a sheltered spot they could be damaged if put out straight away during this chilly spell ... so I would put them out in the daytime and bring them back indoors at night for the next two or three weeks ... after that they should be fine to stay outside.
If you’ve got somewhere outside you can plant them then that’ll be great ... just don’t plant them any deeper than they are planted in the pot.
Enjoy 😊
Thank you! I want to keep them in pots for a little while - partly because I'm not sure I've got anywhere decent to put them (though tbf the barest bed we have is in full sun almost constantly and I think they'd probably love it there) and partly because I know we'll probably look to move in a couple of years so I don't want to leave them behind
I'll just carry on as I am for now, when it looks like they're getting closer to blooming I'll consider the problem then
I hope you feel much better tomorrow @D0rdogne_Damsel a good rest will do you good. The uncertainty makes you feel in limbo doesn’t it, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel so try and focus on that. Don’t worry though i’ll have a glass of wine for you 😆
Thank you @LivMarie98, I'll join you with a glass tomorrow, I allow myself one (or two) on Saturdays. 🍷 Glad to read your day went well for your Grandfather. Good night all. 😴

Hmm @Dovefromabove, I think I will join with PatE and leave the row to others. Sorry that you have been dragged into it. Mixed day at the Allotment, did a lot of strimming and clearing. All going well until I heard a shout from a plot neighbor. I was on my half plot which is 2 along from my main one. Somehow a stone was thrown up and broke a big pane of glass on the neighbor's greenhouse, it's hard to see how as it was on the far side of his plot, and he has wooden edges to his plot. Luckily for me, my old pal Tommy keeps pieces of glass and is an expert at cutting it. So we should be able to repair it ok. Carlos was ok about it but it makes you think just how dodgy these things can be.
I’m awake now! I’ve had a good sleep all night and thinking about getting up, but it’s tempting to just lay here and play with my iPad. 😃. Hubby is still asleep and not even snoring.
Your weather sounds like ours. No rain and cold nights.
I might go and get the final touching up done on the deck at CdeG today, if it warms up a touch or possibly play with seedlings.
Trying to shake off this 'fed up' ness, but even as I got dresssed in my usual gardening gear I caught site of my nice spring dresses in the wardrobe, not worn last spring and unlikely to be worn this year either, nowhere to go worthy of them.

No sun, cold. I don't know if I'll be playing musical plants today. Tax declaration finished, now I just have to submit it on line.
@D0rdogne_Damsel I think your feeling is general - we are having such a weird spring and plants need to be hardened off at least - but it just isn't happening. It'll probably go from this cool weather into hot very rapidly. Remember last year was quite cool?
I am sure you are right about everyone feeling the same @tuikowhai34, these cold nights and cold winds are a real trial for us gardeners. We were lucky here last spring the weather was lovely. looking ahead, next week seems to be getting better. Fingers crossed.

Good morning all 😊 ☕️ Another frosty morning, but glorious sunshine 🌞 OH is off to work this morning ... I’ll be making our usual Saturday sourdough pizzas today, then I’ll be in the studio ...
@D0rdogne_Damsel I know what you mean ... in the autumn of 2019 I found a range of clothing that I really liked (I don’t fit usual styles am usually driven to distraction and sometimes tears of frustration when clothes shopping).
I bought quite a few summer items in their sale and spent the winter making jackets and wraps to go with them using unusual and quite expensive yarns.
At last I was going to be able to go places dressed in a way that I felt comfortable and represented the person I feel I am.
That was 2019 .., they’ve not seen light of day yet. I’ve spent the last god knows how long in nothing but everyday jeans, tee shirts and jumpers. I get exactly what you mean. 😞 🤗

Sunny again, but very chilly yet.
