I have a new house and a new garden. The garden is a blank canvas. I am looking forward to my new roses flowering, they are mostly old varieties, very scented, repeat flowering.
    Ah, that is exciting.
When we moved here almost 3 years ago, the garden was full of 8ft tall brambles, grasses and ground elder.
I salvaged just two bush roses, the rest was rubbish sadly.pm but it was so exciting to discover what colours they were!
    Enjoy 😊

Just looking forward to another year of slowly building up the planting. Every year is a major learning experience.
I’ve no idea what I’m doing.

@Fire, that screen looks great! Can I ask where you bought it? Give us an update as to how you secured it.

I’m looking forward to... no more constant staking and removing spotty leaves from my stand of Corsican hellebore. I dug them out today — been 4 years since they were planted by the garden designer, at the time I knew nothing about plants. Love the apple green flowers but they were planted in a shady part of the garden so the stems kept growing lanky and flopping around.

Controversial perhaps, but after a few years of experimenting I’m looking forward to *nothing new* in the garden

I just want to consolidate what I have and keep it in good condition through the year.  I may put in “more of the same”, change the hard landscaping and furniture a bit.

@JoeX - nothing new as the new thing works for me. What isn't there is just as important as what is.

hi, what I would like in my garden would be to have enought rain to fill our dams and we would no longer be only allowed 50litres of water a day per person. We are now in our 6yr of drought
