Good morning all weather is much colder here and cloudy after all the blue skies and sunshine but some of my children are coming for lunch outside so we need to light the fire pits! Off to SM in a minute then got to clean and tidy house sorry Col TT we have our inspection from letting agent tomorrow so it has to be done. Normally at this time of the year the house is pretty much ignored.
    Happy Easter Monday

    Good morning.

After the lovely weather yesterday (I sat out with a cup tea and my book), we have up to snow, wind, sun, cold. I have arranged for a few friends to come round to the garden to have a cuppa. I have messaged them this morning and they are still all up for coming round. One has said she will wear her big winter coat. So morning tea is going ahead. I think it's because I have made a lemon cheesecake 😂😂

Debs, I hope your inspection goes well tomorrow.

SGL glad you have had a good sleep

    Speak later 😁

    Morning all.

Good luck to all those planning outdoors entertainment today. After warmth and sunshine yesterday, today we have very strong winds and sleet. Lovely! No doubt Col TT will be busy here - but I might chill with my book this afternoon.

Belated anniversay wishes Rubee - that's a long time you've been together.

Good to hear some of you have been enjoying meeting up with family again. I wonder if SGL got a good night's sleep because she was more relaxed as life resumes a semblance of normality for most of us?

We have our first trip away of the year next week. Going downto Somerset. Won't be a normal trip as campsite showers and toilets will be closed and there won't be any indoor attractions / dining options open - but it will be nice to have a change of scenery.

  • Hazel the Egyptian procession sounds impressive.  I do like Egyptian history.  Chive I had some chocolate yesterday and watched the Cambridge Oxford boat race, with Cambridge winning both ladies and men’s races.  I hope you had a good day.  LB sounds like you had a lovely time in the garden with your rellies and the lovely Mo keeping you company.  Ante I hope the planting goes well and enjoy your home baked bread.   Lily enjoy a relaxing day today.  I’m glad you slept.  Topbird I hope you’re looking forward to your trip to Somerset next week.  A lovely place to visit.  Have a good day everyone.

Hello all. Looking out through the windows it is gorgeous - blue skies and sun. A bit like yesterday actually, but I decided to stay indoors for now as I had some apple crumbles and chilli con carne to make. It is still only 5°C. I brought some compost into the kitchen last night so I might sow my seeds there but I'll test the GH later. I'm enjoying my elevenses. T'Bird, what a lovely trip for you next week. You are right, the drive down and the changes of scenery - you might see some little lambs - will be very refreshing. You enjoy!

Debs, I am sure that the house inspection will just be a formality but I can understand your nervousness. I remember that happening sometimes on caravan holidays where the site people would come and inspect the van prior to your departure.
PR it sounds like you are going to have a really fun morning. In fact you are probably halfway through lemon cheesecake as I type.
Ante, I hope that your freshly baked bread is delicious.
RosieBB, I watched the boat race with the question 'why' in my head. I am sure that there are sensible reasons for NOT waiting until it was possible to have it on the Thames at a later date. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed watching it and the use of drone cameras, unobscured by bridges and buildings etc. to take the overhead shots was super.
