I hope you have some other heating @D0rdogne_Damsel, woodburner?

You've done well @Busy-Lizzie and how lovely to be going out for lunch tomorrow.

I have done little outside - still too cold - but have watered all the fuchsias and citrus and stone fruit in the polytunnel ready for potting on tomorrow or Monday.    I've also picked a load of PSB and a lemon which Possum needs as she's cooking dinner tonight.  You should have heard the chooks complaining when I didn't let them in the PSB bed or let them have any to nibble.  They'd only just had their daily sweetcorn!

Inside I have been thru my t-shirts and tops and now have a fine pile of gardening clothes for when the weather warms up a bit.   Not looking likely for a while yet tho.

You’ve all put me to shame with all your gardening projects. We found some apples hiding in our excuse for an orchard (no rain for ages) and had to check my label box to decide which they are. One is Cox’s Orange Pippin and the other is Pink Lady.  The Cox’s is rather tart, but we enjoyed it anyway. My jaw that had the molar removed from, is still not happy about chewing things that are a bit hard. I did try to chew around it, but is a bit of a struggle. 🤭

We’ve been over to feed Venus her breakfast and while there received a message from the owners to say they are on their way back from  Melbourne. She’ll be happy to have them back tonight with our cold nights and mornings.

We feed her in a little shed. They’ve got a wheelbarrow in there with sawdust, so she snuggles down in that.

Morning all, looking a bit cold and grey out there this morning. Hope you all have a lovely day!
I’ve no idea what I’m doing.

  • Morning all,

We've got a surprise shower on the way, 9am it says, sky is ever so dark and grey. 😮 It wasn't supposed to rain until Thursday.
Charlie is going wild swimming in a local lake at 10 am, there's a local group that do it every week and he's decided to join them. They tried to persuade me, but I'm not that brave, despite their assertions it's very good for you. 😱

After that, gardening, I need to get some plants in that I've divided and as my missing plants are due tomorrow I need to just dig over the spot they're going in again. I'm also fighting with a very overgrown rockery and I've an enormous rose to move, might not fit all that in today, especially if it rains longer than they say.

I have got a nice shoulder of lamb for dinner this evening to deal with too.

Glad you slept well @Dovefromabove, is your coffee maker on the go yet? Might need another one before I start. 😅

Afraid he’s still in the Land of Nod @D0rdogne_Damsel ... I’ll either have to give him a nudge or resort to a bit of DIY 😯

Morning all. Have just looked out the window to see that everything is frosted over. My tea maker is still snoring so I’m staying under the duvet for a bit longer.
