Sounds like good progress @Busy-Lizzie .  Can you paint already or does it need to dry for a few days?   I want to paint my kitchen again and get the adjoining dining room done but I need to wait till it's warm enough to cook and eat in the annex where I have my Rangemaster.

It's turned cold again here and stupid knee throbbing madly.   Didn't fancy weeding this pm so settled just with sowing a few tomatoes.  Found a few more teeny budding points on my dahlias.

Looks like cold stuff heading to the UK.  Hope it doesn't damage young blooms and seedlings.

It needs to dry first. Can't walk on the study floor at the moment as they've put levelling stuff on it.

Morning all.  We can’t see out the windows this morning for the fog all over the valley.

It’s Hubby’s appointment with the oncologist this morning, so off to town a bit earlier than usual 😡

Thanks Dove. He’s ok about Hubby’s progress, but when I complained about his chesty cough, he gave us a referral for Hubby to have a chest scan.  I’ve been complaining to Hubby about this for months but he hadn’t bothered to tell Divi. Anyway, scan is booked in, so hopefully that will settle me down a bit.

The day has turned into a beautiful sunny one. Typical after the foggy start.

You’d never believe it. We got out from his appt, called into the PO, dropped scripts into the pharmacy,  and then his mobile rang. Could he please open the fire shed. There is a delivery of the new fire helmets they’ve been promised for ages. 😡 My comment was well, isn’t there someone else who could be called? No, so back home again for that.  I’ve been waiting at home for an hour so far and he’s still not back,  then back to town for our shopping and to collect the medications from the pharmacy. Just another 50 km round trip.  Nothing else to do. Need to go to the petrol stop again as well, I assume. 🙄
    Grrr.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
what a day @Pat E ... you two really are heroes for your community 🥇 🥇

spring must be here ... I’ve been out in my fluffy purple dressing gown cutting back a forgotten Grp 3 clem at 5:45 am while the kettle boiled ... a wren was chuntering in the honeysuckle and the sky was a glorious rosy pink 😊

  • Good morning all,

After the vaccine yesterday I was feeling very smug that I had had no side effects, then at 7pm suddenly I became completely exhausted, suffered a complete fit of the shivers and had to go to bed with a paracetamol, suffered a terrible night and have woken up this morning feeling completely washed out. Unfortunately I have a lot of takeaway orders to fulfil at lunchtime. The current plan is to get them out and then go straight back to bed. Worth it all though to know I have been vaccinated.
