@Dovefromabove love those clematis, is the top one a viticella of sorts?

@mikeymustard the first clematis is viticella ‘Astra Nova’.
The second is viticella ‘Betty Corning’.

@Dovefromabove that was one I'd narrowed my choices down to when I bought the Pernille (see below :)) but the only depiction I could find at that time were all the same pic, edited to show different aspects.

@pitter-patter yours is definitely more like what I was expecting, I thought it might just be that mine was still a baby - it does look a bit like a more saturated and uniform than yours, so I won't get a hissy yet!
    Besides, it's still pretty :)

WHAT a lovely-shaped Japanese Maple, edhelka!  Is it a 'Bloodgood'?  Where it is located provides stunning color and leaf contrast with the particular surrounging plants.

@PeggyTX Thanks. Yes, I believe it is 'Bloodgood' but I inherited it, so can't be 100% sure.

Beautiful day in the garden, I’m starting to sort out a neglected corner.

What a gorgeous clematis, @pitter-patter ! Do you know the name of this one?

Thank you. It’s clematis florida sieboldii.
