    It's on my wish list now. The notes say it's low growing, mat forming, long flowering and evergreen. Is that how it is for you - and purple rather than pink? Thanks @pitter-patter

    Yes, that’s all true. It’s rather slow growing, but the flowers are indeed purple (to my eye) and it does flower throughout the summer, but not that abundantly. 

    None of my roses have flowered yet. Your etoile is looking wonderful.

    London is just hitting around 20oC day time temps and looks fairly steady in that for June. Night temps now reaching over 10oC and forecast is steady. It's supposed to be 24oC and sunny next week and I'm hoping it will dry out all the slugs. My reds seem to come out earliest (and I guess are over first) - Ena Harkness (usually opening in April), Guinee, and Etoile D'Hollande. Next comes Dr Jamain (pink), then the creams.
