Well done on planting up your Butler's sink @SeahorseFriend. There was one in the garden when we moved in but it was so heavy and I had nowhere really to put it so I put it on Freecycle (is that still going?) and someone like you came and got it.
Gardening in East Suffolk on dry sandy soil.

@pitter-patter so beautiful. One of my favourites. You have so many flower stalks! I just have the one. This one is called Tripedale - bought from Farmer Gracy last ear. It's as tall as I am. Have just staked it. It's a strong stem but I'm taking no chances.

Mine are tripedale as well, really tall. They should naturalise and multiply quite well, so fingers crossed.

I thought it looked pinker than the normal ones too. Are all those flower stems from one bulb?

No, I’ve planted seven bulbs, but only six have come up.

Still a gorgeous display in waiting! And yes fingers crossed - hopefully it will naturalise nicely.

@Camelliad @pitter-patter they are nectaroscordum, right?
Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth :)
