I have a Eucomis pole-evansii growing outside in a large container, and it is growing well but not showing any signs of flowering, so I wonder if it would be better in the greenhouse?
I've had it for a few years now, last year I had it outside and it put a flower spike out took it in the Greenhouse so the pending storm didn't snap it, I ended up snapping it myself brushing past the day after so this is the first year its properly flowered. I were putting it outside I just never got round to it. I think watering is key they do like plenty during the summer months and bone dry over winter ( I barely water it first year no flowers ) , I feed them as well . Sparkling Burgundy is next to it with zero flowers, I think due to the lack of sunlight judging of how pale the leaves are .

I have fed mine with tomato food every week during the growing season, but I have only given a moderate amount of water, so next year I will try being much more generous with the water.
@AnniD Your garden is absolutely beautiful. I have never seen so much colour this time of the year but then my garden doesn't come near yours. A lot of hard work on your part.
