    @g.king I'm no expert either, the pot is quite small now in comparison to the tree. I'll probably give that tree a bit of a hard trim back this winter. It's most likely been in there around 5 years now, so does need repotting. The only problem is, I cannot get it out as it curves in at the top. I'll have to saw it out I think! Don't want to smash the pot.
    I treat them like my bonsais I used to have. I had some reasonably big Acer's in very shallow pots. Keep them watered and fed and they are happy.

    The bees love my Nectaroscordum Siculum, so I planted more for this year. Mine are still tight buds, probably weeks away from flowering.
