@Fran IOM, yes, it is Jacmontii. We planted 3 when our neighbour applied for planning permission to extend above their garage. That was about 6years ago and they have grown from about 2m tall to 5m in that time. The neighbours never did build their extension but we enjoy the shade on a hot afternoon.

Noticed only just now that the amaryllis I had left outside has bloomed.

Going strong even after a week 🙂

And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth :)

The dahlias are coming out six weeks later than last year ( I checked my dates), the  garden is feeling quite cool and quiet without the dahlia colour exploding here and there. I just hope we get a very late frost.

What a beautiful photo, @Fire. I too am hoping for a late frost, some of my cosmos hasn’t even started flowering yet. Everything was so late this year, we deserve a few extra weeks to enjoy the more tender plants.

I enjoy having a moveable path. I tend to move pots around a lot during the year over the seasons and flowers seed all over the place. I tend, these days, to create a path by pulling out the plants that get in the way. Most things can't self seed because the slugs get the sprouts, but there are enough things that get through - like borage, valerian offic, fgmns, linaria, hawkbit and ox eyes. I'm always trying to get more height going on.
