I collected some tiny black seeds from a pod formed after my cactus flowered last year. I put them on the surface of some gritty compost and - nothing. When I got my Zaluzianskya the other week, 3 small pieces had broken off so I stuck them in the same pot and two of the cuttings took. When I went to water the pot today there were dozens of tiny little cacti in the pot as well. I am astounded! I'll try to get a picture tomorrow.

Ante, so glad your feeling a bit better today. Hope you sleep well tonight.
Rosie, hope your parcel arrives soon.
LB, look forward to seeing your baby cacti.
Night night everyone, sleep well and sweet dreams

  • Thank you Hazel, I am pleased with it.  I couldn’t get back to sleep so I’ve just made a cuppa and done the food order and watching over Alfie.  It’s rather chilly.   I watched a programme on bbc two at 9pm regarding DNA it was rather interesting.  I ordered some peaches and cream yogurts as a treat.

Morning RosieBB. Another broken night for you again. I hope you are asleep now with Alfie on guard beside you. Its a misty morning here and I'm hoping it will get out nice later.

Good morning LB and all to follow. Hope Rosie got back to sleep. Work today I do dislike Wednesdays but going to try to sort out my holidays, the lady who confirms them is very inefficient so should be fun! I want to book a massage for my week in April and other stuff too, maybe shop for my wedding outfit? I am a “make plans” person I hate leaving stuff to the last minute.
Misty here but not too cold. Hope you all have a good day planned.
  • Good morning LB and Debs.  I’m awake and I’ve had a very early breakfast.  LB it’s forecast colder weather ahead in the coming days I’m afraid.  Debs I hope you get your holiday booked.  It’s good to start looking early for a wedding outfit.
