I have got in from work and went straight out I to I garden. A little potter turned into quite the work out. I lost a good hour and I only came in as the light was starting to dip (and I broke my secateurs). I really miss that sense of achievement and what I call "I have been gardening feeling" in the winter months. I can't explain what makes up that feeling but I am sure as gardeners, you get me on this.Â
@Yviestevie I have Eustacia Vye she is a real beauty with a wonderful perfume. Â
I know exactly how you all feel that sense of satisfaction and sheer joy from a few hours in the fresh air with that scent of Spring in the air. Looking forward to a day out in my garden tomorrow.Â
I have had a wonderful afternoon in the front garden - what a contrast to a few days ago! Green bin is now full to the gunwales. Gosh I enjoyed that sense of freedom too PurpleRose and Debs. Mind you I had forgotten how vicious dogroses can be. They were hooked everywhere - the most painful one being in my upper lip - but eventually all branches went in the bin. If that doesn't help me sleep tonight SGL, I don't know what will. PurplerRose, I'll look out for those little onions - thanks! Ruby, I didn't try any digging so maybe my soil would be unworkable a bit lower down.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
SGL, sorry to hear that you wasn't well yesterday. I hope that you are better today.
LB, tomorrow is traditionally fritole day here. It's connected to church holydays.
After snow and wind last two day today was beautiful and much warmer. I'm happy that Monday is almost over. Years ago used to like Monday. Not now. Hdd a small tripp to SM and found primullas on sale. Only 20p a piece. Bought a dozen. Rest of the evening is reserved for book and tv. It's Murdoch mysteries on tv tonight.
Lily sorry to hear you’ve not being feeling well.  I hope you have a better nights sleep this evening. LB and Purplerose I’m glad you enjoyed your gardening today.  I’ve been out for a brief walk and been pottering at home.  I’ve some curtains to iron, but I’ll leave that for another day.
