  • LB it was -6 on the car temperature this morning. I was actually quite shocked as it didn't feel that cold.

Debs. Congratulations on the birth of your grandson.

Hazel I hope your jab goes ok.

Hello everybody. Glad your jab went well Hazel and it sounds like your sweet peas are off to a really good start. Good to see you T'Bird. I think my holiday for later on this year might be stuffed. But I suppose there is always next year. I'm hoping that you manage to get something booked. Ruby, respect to you, that scarf is absolutely gorgeous. You will find it very useful just now. I decided to take advantage of the windy weather and got Lily's TV on. It is numbingly cold out there but the cloth things are shedding their dampness very well indeed.
Earlier on there was a knock on my door and one of the workmen was there asking if I had an outdoor tap as he wanted to fill a big plastic container with water. I apologised and told him that I couldn't open the back gate because it is wedged tight and offered to get my watering can out for him but he told me not to worry and went next door. He was very pleasant and polite and I told him how sorry I felt for the lot of them working in these freezing times.

Another interesting date SGL. The temperature is dropping rapidly and there is now a yellow weather warning for treacherous ice. I hope that everyone stays safe and warm tonight. PurpleRose, if you are picking up Mr. PurpleRose later please take extra care.
