Morning all,  Wet and windy here so no chance of getting out to tidy up the new Veg area.  Tomorrow seems more promising so I'll just have to bide my time.  Lovely photo @debs64 I have a folder on my laptop with all the photos taken of the grandchildren over the years and I really enjoy looking through it, especially when I'm a bit down, it always makes me thankful for what I have.
Don't know if I mentioned it yesterday but we have booked a week's break in Cornwall for July.  It's something to look forward to and we can cancel with no penalty up to June.
I'm also watching cloth things swish round and round, I doubt they'll be going on the line though, rain is forecast all day.
    Hope everyone enjoys their Sunday.
Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands
  • A lovely picture of a newborn baby.  What a special time for you.  I went back to bed as I’d ceased to function.  Wishing you all a good day.
  • Good afternoon

What a beautiful pictures Debs. He has changed even over a few days from the first picture you posted.

Me PurpleRose and I said that we werent doing valentine's this year, we are supposed to be doing something later in the year when the weather is better and places are back open. Well the so an so got me a card. He was at work for 7am this  morning and he left it on the breakfast bar for when I got up. I thought I had missed something and thought I had better get him a card back before he gets home so he wou,dnt think anything was amiss. Dashed out and everywhere I went was sold out. So I messaged him and said thanks  for the card. I haven't got him one and he replied and said he wasn't expecting one. It was just a little gesture to say thanks for doing what I do for him. Which was really sweet.  I have been to the petrol station to fill my car and spotted his favourite cadburys caramel dairy milk so got him a big bar. It is currently in the fridge waiting for him (as that is how he likes his chocolate).

Speaking of chocolate .For Christmas I ordered a bar of Toblerstone amongst other chocolatey things .
Well, I made the biggest shopping booboo I have ever made .When  the chocolates came ,there was a huge long box amongst the parcels . I hadn’t a clue what it was .I opened this huge box and inside it was an equally huge and very heavy Toblerstone .It was nearly three feet long .I didn’t know how to tell my OH . I thought he would go ballistic.  He wasn’t best pleased particularly when I admitted how much it cost . Eventually he saw the funny side and laughed at me being so shocked .
I really didn’t know that you could get bumper Toblerstone It was nearly impossible to break . OH had to use my Chinese chopper and a mallet . And it still wasn’t easy .Anyway to continue the sad tale ,we are still working our way through this humongous bar of chocolate and probably will be next Christmas. This is not a wind up .😆😁😆😁😆

PurpleRose, that is such a lovely story. I do hope Mr PR enjoys his chocolate later. RosieBB, I hope that you have rested well but that you have some sleep left in you for tonight. Good grief Ruby. I've heard of a yard of ale but never a yard of T*******e.
(Make a private note to self to look out for one of those next C*******s!)

Well done RosieBB. I did put on Lily's TV but had to dash out to rescue the wet cloths when it started raining.
I'm signing out for now so enjoy your evenings and I'll see you all tomorrow.
