Good morning LB and all to follow. Up early for recycling day and back to work today. Feeling a bit down that my precious holiday was basically wasted because of lockdown and the weather. I do understand that it’s much worse for so many others but can’t help feeling fed up. This winter seems endless at the moment.
Very very cold this morning so keep warm everyone.

Good morning Debs. Chin up chuck, better days must surely come soon and there will be other lovely moments as the weather improves. Take care on your way to work today.

  • Good Morning LB & Debs and all to follow, very cold and more snow overnight,
LB Such a sweet picture, I feel for the birds in this weather at least we know our visitors are well fed. Hope you stay in the warm today,
Debs I can understand your disappointment having taken time off from work, hope things start to look up soon,
Hope you all have a good day ahead.

  • Morning all

Yesterday was a much more settled day. Cannot have too many busy busy days in a row.

LB the water in the bathe when silicone sealing. When a bath is full of water, the weight makes it move slowly so the silicone stretches with it. It you dont fill the bath when sealing, the silicone does not have as much give in it so will crack and come away. If the bath is full. The slight movement is taken into account with the silicone. It was a little DIY hack given to me by a tiler.

I have just treated myself to  the RHS Gardening through the year book. Looking forward to receiving it. I have a friend who swears by this book and raves about it. I thought as the shops aren't open so I have not bought anything since new year, I deserve a little treat.

Chive. I hope your snow disappears quickly. It was very cold here last night. Thankfully no snow since tea time yesterday. I have had enough of the snow now.

Aww Debs. It is so difficult at the moment. It is so disappointing when having time off work and there is nothing to look forward to. I hope next time, you have good weather and you can get out and about.

LB very quiet this morning with feathered visitors. I picture them all huddled together with their feathers fluffed. I made sure last night there was plenty of food out for them as I hate to think they get to my feeders and they are empty.

    Speak soon

    Morning everyone.
We've had more snow overnight. It looks so beautiful. Is it just me that's enjoying the snow? I do love it when it snows normally, but this winter it has really cheered me up making everything look so magical.  I'm hoping it stays a little longer.
Although I know it must be making travelling to work difficult for some.
Had a bit of a restless night again, but didn't get up, laid there drifting off and then waking up again.
Take care, have a good day.
  • LB what a sweet bird.  I hope they’ve found good hiding places for warmth.  PurpleRose it’s good to have arrest.  It will be a very nice book.   Hazel I’m glad you’ll be cosy warm in your duvet.  I’ve to deal with the hot press thingy.   Lily I’m glad you’re enjoying the snow and the lovely scenes it creates.  Chive the suns shining brightly again today.  I wonder if there’ll be more snow as yesterday.  Have a good day.
  • Hot press thing tackled, oven warming.  Trying a nut roast for a change.

Afties all. well its all been happening in the Crescent today. Apparently we are getting a new gas main. There are holes all over the road and many drives obscured by blue plastic barriers. So far I have escaped as they seem to have done every other house of the six in the Cres. Time will tell. I do have to say that I haven't seen any signs of any large diameter pipework - maybe that comes later.
Thank you for the explanation PurpleRose it fits in with what Pauline told me yesterday. I got confused as I hadn't worked out that the shower was over a bath That is such a great tip to remember though - bet handy brother doesn't know that hack. I filled my feeders up today and the birds have been busy trying desperately to empty them again.
Hazel, no teabags! Quelle horreur. I couldn't live without teabags. Glad that the duvet kept you snuggly though. RosieBB the nutroast sounds very tasty indeed.
