  • Good afternoon

Hope that you are all ok.

It I so sad that Capitain Sir Tom Moore has passed away. He was such an inspiration to many people and he was a light in these dark times. I saw some of the news coverage and everyone had such lovely things to say about him.

Songbird. Beautiful plant. Like you say, they can be so contrary. I think they sometimes need a good talking to and it does seem to work.

Rainy here today. I have seen the forecast for coming days and it looks like a return of the very cold weather.

Hi everyone, Lovely day here, sunny and not too cold.  The ground is very wet though.  I've been out for a couple of hours clearing debri and weeds from one of the borders.  It looks so much better and I've uncovered loads of lovely snowdrops and shoots of daffs/tulips/crocus.  Feel so much better for getting some exercise and fresh air.  Haven't any new yet today about SIL, I'm hoping he's improved since getting the antibiotics.  Firstborn has been retested and is now negative so she is talking about going back to work on Monday.
    Stay safe everyone.

Yvie that’s very good news, she’s coped well.  I hope there will be more good news for SIL.  LB good look for vaccination tomorrow.  I hope all goes well and soon home to Lily.  Hazel it will soon come round.  I’m glad mum and oh okay apart from fatigue which I hope has gone now.  Well your Christmas cactus is looking good Hazel :).  Purplerose we may have to wrap up for a while yet if there’s another cold spell.  Take care everyone.

Afternoon all. Hazel, your Christmas cactus is very pretty. They need a short period of almost dryness to trigger the production of flower buds. Well done for getting all your seeds sorted for the new season. Any time you need an early morning call just give me a shout! Purple Rose, I've just been to put my bins out and it has started to rain. Still got a yellow warning for heavy rain in this area. Yvie, the news is sounding more positive now for your family. Happy day!

Hi folks, something weird has happened on this thread since the new one has started.  Everytime I log on it takes me back to the beginning of the thread.  Now this isn't too much of a problem at the moment as we are only on page 3 but it will become a real nuisance as time goes on.  Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you manage to solve it.

Just had news from Firstborn that SIL is not good.  Had to have the ambulance out again as he was having trouble breathing.  They don't think it is a secondary infection as the antibiotics don't seem to be doing anything.  She has been told to monitor him but hasn't been given any sort of parameters so doesn't really know what to look for.

Sorry Yvie, I cannot help with your logging on problem though I have read of other people having similar difficulties. Very sorry to hear of your SIL. Seems to me as though your Firstborn hasn't been given a great deal of useful information. Fingers crossed that things get easier.
