I really like Nicky Chapman, not sure why some people don't?

I've nothing against her personally, I'd just rather someone with knowledge of the subject matter and she is clearly lacking in that respect.

I'm sure she's a lovely person, but her presenting style doesn't appeal to me. No idea why.

Chelsea Flower Show is not the place to use Nikki Chapman and it makes her appear vacuous which I don't think she is.  Hope not anyway.

Keen gardeners and plants people will watch Chelsea Flower Show and any other gardening coverage in the hope of decent info and new ideas and I don't see why its presentation needs to be dumbed down to cater for people who use the TV as a baby or OAP sitter.

Surely, if nothing else, the pandemic has highlighted the importance of outside spaces and growing plants to keep people sane and healthy and improve communities.  Far too important a subject to relegate to horticulturally unskilled, untrained, inexperienced  presenters who don't know their roots from their shoots.

I can think of better things for Sophie Rayworth to be doing  :)

    Keep Monty, obviously.
Get rid of Joe Swift and Nicky Chapman.

Chelsea FS is a celebration of horticulture and is huge fun.   Monty does tend to approach it all as a guilty pleasure needing sackcloth and hair shirts.

Be careful what you wish for. Nicki Chapman could be replaced with Davina McCall or Joanna Lumley.

I've enjoyed some of Joanna Lumley's travel programmes, so she might be OK.

  • Nicki Chapman is my favourite presenter on CFS, such a joy to watch. A presenter doesn’t have to the an expert, Monty isn’t either.

It’s all very well wanting someone with horticultural knowledge etc ... but speaking live to camera whilst listening to the director talking to you through an earpiece is a skill few professional horticulturists have acquired.
