I think they are still hoping to go ahead with some kind of Autumn show at Malvern @Obelixx, but who knows?

I like the Malvern Flower Show as well and usually go up on a coach with a friend as it's easier than driving myself. I'm now wondering whether I shall ever get on a coach again.

Only been once @Lizzie27 and I definitely needed my own boot for all the purchases!

I just prefer spring to autumn generally. Not keen on buying lots of plants at the end of the summer I never really got into the whole all year garden. Lovely if you can do it but doesn’t appeal to me.

Autumn is the best time to plant new treasures, be they bulbs, perennials or shrubs and trees that will flower in spring, summer or later.

The difference between what Malvern are planning and Chelsea, is that the Malvern Autumn Show is well established at that time so prospective attendees will be preparing everything for that date anyway.

Two very different entities anyway.  No plants sold at Chelsea except advance orders from nurseries and the big sell off on the last day.  All the other RHS shows have live plant sales throughout.

I see there is only one category of ticket on sale - all day, starting 8.00 am. As I have a held over afternoon ticket with a 3.30 pm entry I asked what the implications were. No change, they said. Entry at 3.30 pm will be honoured. However I am feeling a little miffed because the earlier September sunset curtails the end of my visit. I might turn up before 3.30 pm and see how they respond.

maybe I'm a hideous pessimist, but I'd not put money on it going ahead in September.
I certainly wouldn't want to be in the middle of a packed show ground .

UK vaccine roll out is going well @Hostafan1 and that should make it safer.  Better to plan in case it can happen rather than give up because it might not.
