Some of this gardening stuff must be getting through my thick skull as I was out for a  hike with a mate and he asked me what this hedge with red and green leaves was and without thinking I said Photinia and blow me down it was. ( Confimed on T'internet with phone)

I know its an easy one for most of you top dogs but this old pooch has a memory like a sieve so it gave me a moment of delight to know that the brain cell is still functioning.  :D

And talking of dogs when we settled down for a coffee from our flasks overlooking the sea a beagle appeared from nowhere on his own no owner in sight sat and looked at us and then went on his merry way.

Yeah Lizzie its a beautiful island.

Being born here one takes it to much for granted I fear, but even now after all these years I still find places I've never been to. Its only 45 square miles and can feel quite constrictive sometimes and I've often thought of moving to France (13 miles away) to get a bit of land and isolation away from people, but time and the failing health of OH  has all but put paid to that dream.

tuikowhai34 Its a bit of France that broke off a short time ago. Can you get the French government to build us a bridge so I can visit my French cousins?

Kili, suggest building a bridge to Boris. He had the bright idea of building one to link Northern Ireland with the rest of the UK.  He could use yours as a trial run.

Soft, workable clay. Mild spring day. Bliss is over-egging the pudding, but I am certainly happier than I was.😊
    In London. Keen but lazy.
