Driving round Leicester is a white van with a sign on the side that tells it like it is ‘Short bald bloke that fixes tyres’.

    An honest trader. A rarity.
Short bloke that fixes bald tyres would be even better!
    In London. Keen but lazy.

There's a dog-walking business in Jedburgh which has a rather smart van.
On the back door there's a wee sign like you see on Securicor vehicles ...
"No dog biscuits are kept in this van overnight"
Makes me smile every time I see it.

I saw a photo of a window cleaner's van with the name Mr Bit on the back.  Think about it. :D

Good to hear that Hostafan1, but it doesn't stop morons getting far too close to animals in the wild.  I was watching Countryfile earlier and they showed the damage these idiots cause.

Just made a rainbow tart,(it's cooking along with the Apple/chicken casserole and blackberry crumble, just realized I grew, the beetroot, red pepper and red onion filling, yah!
  • Two reasons to be cheerful today.  First, I've managed to produce a veggie pasta sauce which my husband actually enjoys eating; second, the ancient eating apple tree in the garden has produced a pretty good crop this year, of small, scabby but tasty fruit (Cox, I think).   :)
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
