Looking at my 'lawn'. Great swathes of daisies. Can't wait for spring!
    In London. Keen but lazy.

Sunny morning here, so we’ve headed to Sidmouth. Gorgeous baby Staffie in the coffee shop, so I got my fair share of cuddles. Managed to shred a huge pile of laurel cuttings yesterday, and almost filled both the green bins for this morning’s collection, so feeling pretty guilt free about having a lazy morning.

RTBC, this forum! Somewhere to browse through when I’m looking for a little distraction, but it’s too depressing to glance through the news headlines.

Mine today was seeing a very large owl, approx 14"-16" tall, standing on the road at 6.30am
No idea what sort it was, but it had its back to me.
    some research suggests Tawny .
    Devon.

Of course, it’s not all good news on here, but at least I can offer commiserations, and where I’m qualified to, hopefully helpful advice. Feels better than non stop depressing ‘news’ with no follow up as to the outcome, and usually just leaving a feeling of helplessness.

My RTBC, had a phone call from my son and a nice chat. He doesn't ring often so I treasure them when they happen.

I hope he's not like Sheridan, Hyacinth's son in Keeping Up Appearances.  He only called when he needed something - generally money. :D

No, thankfully, he's not. He's just like so many 40 somethings these days, busy, busy, busy. Working full time, ferrying the kids around, walking the dog, cooking, working out, chairman of the governors of local primary school etc, etc. I love him to bits but it's okay if he doesn't phone often, I'm not a clingy mum and I know he'll always be there for me if I needed him. My RTBC today again I think.
