Good morning Purple Rose ,missed you there .Keep safe and warm . Lily sorry you had a bad headache .Wrap up well when you go out and enjoy your walk .Chive have a good day ,keep warm . LB ,it is snowing heavily here now .
Good morning all. Snow here overnight and more falling so not sure if I will get to work this afternoon. It’s hilly around here and buses struggle. Will see how it looks at lunchtime. I have brought Graham into the dining room as the garage is freezing and I was worried about him. He is alive but still fast asleep. He went into garage on advice from a friend who keeps many reptiles but not sure it’s the right place. May have to rethink his winter accommodation.
Thank you LB. Hopefully it will warm up a little, a very very frosty morning at the moment. Schools are closed here Chive, first poppet is the only one of school age and is having mummy school. Fortunately her mummy is/was a teacher, but after having 2nd poppet only went back for a few months because of maternity leave and doesn't work. But 2nd poppet sits in sometimes and has 'lessons' of her own too. 3rd poppet is just 17 months. His mummy was unfortunately made redundant just as she was supposed to return to work. But at least she can enjoy watching him learn and grow and not worry about child care.
Oops sorry Ruby and Debs, you weren't there just now. Debs take care if you go to work this afternoon. Hehe Ruby love the cheeky monkey 😉
Did anyone go out and clap last night, we completely forgot, although did think perhaps it would be very cold this time of year 🥶 Didn't hear anyone either. Probably not the same as the summer months, chatting from a distance with neighbours afterwards.
Good morning, a heavy snowfall and still falling. I’m watching the birds feeding, poor things. Chive I hope mums injection goes okay and she’s soon back in the warmth. Biglad a run in snow would be very refreshing. LB it’s good Jack and Joan’s injections were more organised this time. Good morning Purple Rose you’ll be glad the snow hasn’t laid. It’s a beautiful scene here. Debs I hope Graham’s doing well and happy in himself. Lily Headaches can be quite debilitating. I hope you feel better now. Wishing you all a good day.
Morning - no snow here but we do have frost and freezing fog - lovely. Think I'll be sewing today!
MIL (age 85) wasn't able to have the Pfizer jab due to allergies and she hasn't been offered the Oxford one yet. I think she's still very undecided about whether or not she wants to have it. Guess she was having babies etc at the time of the thalidomide scandal and was probably very aware of the MMR debates, so it's understandable she has some reservations.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Topbird that’s very understandable of your mil to have reservations. Hazel Happy Birthday to your son 🎉🎈🙎🏼♂️. I hope he gets some rest after working nights. The snow is still falling, the trees, hedges and ground are well covered. The birds are still feeding.
Hello to all the later arrivals. I feel a bit cheated here as the super snow of this morning is rapidly disappearing now. Probably a good thing though as I agree with what was said earlier about the snow not being good when it melts and then freezes. Debs, I thnk you have done the right thing in bringing Graham indoors but I think you told us he needs to be kept cool for a while as he hibernates. Could he go in your loft? Love the cheeky monkey picture Ruby and he certainly made me smile. SGL, I did think about the Clap for Heroes and then decided that I wouldn't be going out. Its a bit different at this time of year when its dark and freezing cold. Just wouldn't be the same as the first time around when we had all that light apart from one clap for carers evening. Happy birthday to Hazel's son
T'Bird, I can understand your MIL's hesitation and you can only respect any decision that she makes. I am looking forward to receiving mine but not sure that I will be able to have it because of my wasp sting allergy. As this bad reaction has happened so infrequently in my life I'm hoping it will all be fine but you never know. Time, as they say, will tell.

Let's hope these crazy times end soon.
