@KT53 there is a French equivalent to the RSPB tho not as big. Being coastal, there are nature reserves round here specifically for migrating and wetland birds and I am not the only person who buys bird food at the SM and local pet and garden store so some clearly enjoy helping and watching them.

I had to go to the supermarket today because we couldn't get quite a few things delivered. It was fairly quiet there and tons of stuff was reduced or on offer so I'm glad I went. I used £24 of in-store only vouchers, made nearly £10 in savings on items we needed and probably saved another £10 in reduced items. The delivery service has been great don't get me wrong but it's nice to be able to pick your own items and get the bargains.
Sadly I ran over a screw on the way home and it's now lodged in my front tyre. Luckily that tyre was an advisory on the MOT a few weeks ago so it needed changing anyway.

As I was out shopping I bought us something nice for dinner and thought we could have a bit of a relaxing evening for once as we've both been working late for weeks now. Then on the way to bed our 1 year old projectile vomited his dinner on the top steps of our 3 storey open tread stairs. The initial clean up pushed dinner back a while but we got them to bed and sat down for our meal. While I cleared up the food my wife finished vomit wrangling but she accidently knocked something over which woke up our oldest boy who didn't go back to sleep until gone 1am. By the time I'd put the second load of spewey washing in the machine and got ready for bed it was pushing 2am. The food was nice though.

You get no sympathy WE. Your children, your choice, your problem At least they don't regularly poo on the floor, as one of our dogs does in winter. My dog, my choice, my problem.

I always thought children were easier than pets in that regard - at least you know where the poo is going to be! Not so much other aspects of child rearing.😵
Not always so @B3, whilst potty training my son refused to use the potty or loo to poo and went to great lengths to hide himself and do it somewhere out of sight - it was always a worry when you suddenly realised he'd gone quiet - apparently it's quite common. Thank goodness we're well past that stage now. 😅

Don't say that raisingirl or Wild Edges may stop posting the joys of having young kids We don't have kids but still remember seeing my baby nephew with sh1t in his hair where it had squeezed up the back of his babygrow like the contents of a tube of toothpaste. I'm still traumatised by the memory. He's over 30 now with a 4 month old baby of his own.

I did offer to get her another dog instead of a baby. There's also been a couple of dog poo related incidents in the last week or so though. I should have just stuck to plants...
