Chive , son in law is back to normal and my daughter isn’t showing any symptoms .Thank you for asking .
  • Very quiet on here today. You must all be very busy with Christmas bits and bobs.
Popped to shops, got the few things I wanted. Got some of their 3 for 2 for extra stocking fillers. Brrrr it was cold out today.
Came straight back....cup of tea, then dyed my hair. Had lunch and then my niece popped round as a surprise and we chatted on the doorstep for awhile. Now having another cup of tea. 😉

Hazel it will be good to receive your footstool.  I have one that was lovely but it’s had the cat claws treatment.  Wishing you a good day.    LB I hope your cousin is resting and eating well and will feel stronger.  Chive I hope you have a hood or brolly on this wet day.  Stay dry and warm.  Lily I hope the chemist is a quick visit.   I’ve prepared a pasta bake ready to go in the oven.  I’ve run out of grated cheese so I’ll use some finely sliced for the topping.  I’m also baking some rustic bread.  Enjoy the rest of your day.

Afties all. Well its really cold and damp here but nothing like yesterday's rain thank goodness. Lots of bulbs peeking through in the garden. Hazel I hope that your footstool has arrived by now. My cousin came out of ICU and there is a possibility that he could be going home today. He will have a couple of days there and then his ex wife (retired GP and who has been a complete angel through all of this) is taking him to her home in Sheffield to continue his recuperation. Glad that you got your shopping done SGL and what a nice surprise it must have been to have your niece call around. My newly shorn hair is being coloured a week tomorrow - can't wait! Rosie, I bet it smells lovely when you are baking your rustic bread. I always think that the smell of home made bread makes me feel warm.

    Good evening.

LB, I'm so glad that your cousin is better. It's lovely that his ex wife is so helpful.

Hazel, did you get your delivery?

Rosie, freshly baked bread. Smell must be divine.

It was busy day here also. First school, then delivery for all my pets, I prepared package for my sister in Germany and so on. I ordered two more christmas gifts and now I cover everything.
Here is also cold and around noon we had a short snow episode. Weather is so bad every day so I can't decorate outside with lights.

Thank you Ante. You sound very organised - well done! You must wait for kinder weather before putting up your outside lights - remember what happened last year! Plus we don't want you slipping and falling. I had my youngest sister on the phone today - 43 minutes of natter. I have brain fog! Have been wrapping up Christmas presents today. Like Ruby a few years back, I had a gift which I put in a safe place. Its so safe that not even I can find it!

Thank you LB. I remember quite well what happened last year with my lights. I'm waiting Saturday and better weather. I'm sure that you will figure where is your present. Probably after Christmas, but doesn't matter. 😂

    Evening all,
Sorry to hear about your daughter and SIL @Songbird-1.  I've spoken to my sister and brother in law today and they are both recovering from Covid.  They sound much better than they did last week.
Good to hear from you @Cheyngel
I've spent the day lounging around recovering from Nanna Duty yesterday, so nothing exciting to report.
