Gosh @D0rdogne_Damsel that's a lot of mince pies. The most I have ever made in one day is 120, for the Carol Service in the Abbey.
I have a load of ironing to do and I must shampoo marks on the carpets upstairs, some made by Son 2's removal men.
I was surprised to see Norfolk is going into Tier 4, it was in Tier 2 and had quite low Covid figures.
Happy Christmas everyone. I had thought my Christmas would be cancelled this year, with the house move, OH in Norfolk, me in lockdown in France, but OH got back in the nick of time, lockdown is over for the moment, curfew instead, and daughter 1 has invited us for Christmas. They have been isolating since school broke up last Friday.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I've learnt the difference between plants nestled next to the house and those left exposed in the garden. Two identical planters - one is full of frozen soil (more a crust of an inch or two), the other is as per normal.
Happy Christmas to everyone. I've got to get my skates on, tree to decorate and house to clean. The local garage has very kindly squeezed our car in for a look-see and it has a broken spring. I thought that might be the problem, too many speed bumps and potholes round here. They might be able to fix it today but it doesn't really matter. A bit annoying as son and daughter are meeting in a car park about 20 miles away to exchange presents and say hello, we could have gone too. Right, coffee over, must go and do things. Have a good Christmas.

Indeed that was the case @Busy-Lizzie ... until all the second homers arrived in Norfolk and Suffolk a week ago when the private schools’ term ended ... the North Norfolk and Suffolk coastal town and villages are rammed. 😖 We are not amused.

Merry Christmas everyone - we have started!!! Light lunch, light dinner and a hopeful lunch tomorrow. No crunchy roast veggies but never mind! Just the 2 of us plus the doggie. Grazing.
It is grey and going to get miserable but that's OK. I now have the flour to make the Creole cake and also found some sprouts for OH in the small local SM. Loads of Brits about so no doubt ordered for them as the big ones had none yesterday.
6 more eggs today so we've just had bacon, egg and beans for brunch and then I'll bake that cake and finish off OH's lime pickle. Cod and clementine curry for dinner. Keeping it light to balance tomorrow. OH has gone all nostalgic for childhood Boxing Days of grazing on leftovers. We will have none so I'm going to have to be inventive, starting with pâté and Camembert baked with Amaretto and walnuts and so on and so forth.
Good luck to all preparing the feasting and celebrations. Hugs and "courage" to all having difficulties, whatever they may be.
Best wishes to all Forkers and their families for a merry Christmas but, above all, for a safe one. I can feel a post vaccine party coming on next spring or summer so let's all make sure we're here to enjoy one as well as sparing a thought for those we've lost.

Great to see you popping in @Fairygirl and yes, let's hope @punkdoc, Moira, @chicky and @Hostafan1 come back to us safe and sound.
